This conversation keeps going into pieces.

The whole point I was trying to make is that if you have depth in the AHL, you can afford to lose value on guys like Ennis in order to bring in a Nash type player.

- sbroads24

I would assume the need for moving Nash is a salary dump. In that case they can't take salary back . As we get closer to their scheduled arbitration hearings . They will get more desperate. So they do not have to let young talent walk away.

Gorges is up the same time as Nash's
Franson is up this year
Gionta's is up this year
Kane's is up same time as Nash's

The money will be there to pay said important players.

You keep keeping on that Nash fan club though.

This team needs a Nash from 4 or 5 years ago not the 32 year old they'd be getting.

He's no Shane Doan or Iginla that continue to produce with age.

He reminds me of how fast everything went bye bye for Hawerchuk.

- dadeadhead

Yet he has so far.... Again, he had a back issue which limited his minutes, yet still produced per 60 as a bona fide top 6'er.

I get the injury/age argument. But the risk vs. reward could be beneficial.

For every Hawerchuk, there are Patrick Sharp's, Iginla, Hossa, Marleau, etc who can score 20+ into their 30's

They can take some. If someone were to relieve them of 7.8 mil for nothing, it would have been done

I don't see him in that group.

The back this is more serious imo.

Its not my money but at 8mil per the next two its a high risk move.

If they were willing to eat cap hit he'd have been moved already.

He's a Rags till at least the deadline now.

IMO this is the only legitimate concern of him returning to a very, very good player for a few years

I got a PM from NAVIN, he said Golf is for Sissy's and all of you are Sissy's that play golf.

He seems to have an issue with the outfits I believe.

Marcus Foligno's one-year contract is for $2.25 million. Same as last season. #Sabres

Fair enough

One of these sentences is a lie.

EDIT:

I retract. His prior two year contract was 3.75 over two years for 1.875AAV, but he made $2.250 in 2015/16
