I'm sick of the Leafs not winning. That's it, I'm gonna be a Sens fan now. Their winning tradition just can't be ignored any longer. - daeth
The one time Andy Frost was actually good, was when he had his "After the Horn" show. Some guy called in and said how he grew up a Leafs fan, but got tired of the losing so he switched his team to the Sens because they were on the right track. Needless to say he got roasted for it. |

cut out at least 1 to 2 goals per game and the possibilities are endless.

I used to love After the Horn.
At about the 20 minute mark, Andy would lose all patience.

It's so (frank)ing Leafy it hurts. You have 29 teams to choose from and you somehow manage to pick a team that has no chance at a cup.
You can bet a mad Wings fan would switch to a proper winner. |

Who is spatso??? Someone who spazzes all the time?? - RiellyAwesome
This is Spatso:
Sois calme.Leaf fans are just hyper agitated over the fact that Kessel is about to win the Conn Smyth. All the talk is about Phaneuf is merely a distraction away from the Leaf's awkwardness around Kessel's huge success.Phaneuf will be very strong with Ceci next and Leaf fans will search desperately to find something else they can provide a distraction from the world of hurt they are going to absorb next year. - spatso
It is important to properly read the signals when you see Leaf fans reverting to anger, threatening tactics, name calling and personal insults. The responses are essentially self protective. These fans believe they have been beaten around so badly, especially over the last few years. They have been ridiculed, trivialized and dismissed. They have been excluded from the competitive hockey debate. So, they make irrational hockey claims. They come to despise anyone who forces them to face reality. This summer is about a grand illusion. Matthews, they tell themselves, can do better than Tavares, Stamkos or Eichel or, dare we even say, McDavid. He will instantly pull the Leafs into the playoff mix in his first year and "we will matter again." When the reality of the situation finally settles into the thinking of Leaf fans they will revert to lashing out against others. They are unconsciously trying to inflict the humiliation they feel unto to others. They want others to know the pain that they are living every day. Leaf fans, for example, do not hate Karlsson. They just intuitively know that he causes them so much pain. It has everything to do with how much Senator fans love Karlsson. They adore his skill his speed and the fact that he is so unique and special. He laughs, he smiles and delights. He is so much like Alphie and entirely fused into our hearts. Leaf fans just want a player who is special for them, someone to love, somebody that they know they can believe in. One last thought. Shame is always held together by a deeply held wound. You can only escape the wound by naming it, by defining and by choosing not to let it define you from the secret recesses of your own mind. I stopped feeling ashamed when I finally stopped drinking the blue and white kool aid and called out and named the pain. When I publicly let go of the Leafs, when I chose to no longer carry the burden of their failure, I became free. So, I understand their bitterness, their invective and mostly their hurt. I understand how badly they have suffered. I try not to add to that suffering by responding in kind when they become so disrespectful of others. - spatso |

Connor Brown is severely underrated. I think 60-70 points are super realistic expectations!! Especially playing with Matthews who will probably put up 80-90!! - RiellyAwesome
in a few years from now sure. |

Still poop.. No matter where you put him. Still smells. - bixll
Nah, Pavelec has been ok in stretches, on a lottery pick Jets team; maybe he's not the answer in backup long-term, but he solves a couple of short-term issues (too many forwards, no NHL backup) without having to give up assets to pry a dude off of another team.
Only other option would be Enroth, but my guess is he wants to start somewhere and Babcock/Lou don't rock a 1A/B tandem, so he probably doesn't want to sign here. |

I am still hoping for a trade / move to get rid of 1 or 2 contracts and bring in a backup tender. |

It's worse now.
These days that proposal would be accompanied by some explanation involving salary caps and Corsi.

I feel if Laich has a good season, he'll be resigned short term.
