Most teams are interested but nobody is willing to pay the price EDM is asking for. Fans that think he can be had for a 2nd round pick are dreaming IMO

Many teams would like to take a shot at him, but clearly the price is too high right now, which is counter-intuitive if that many teams are interested. On the other side of the coin, he has been a bust for the most part in Edmonton and yet they price him out of the market.

At least I can understand Edmonton's position. If all they can get is a 3rd or something, then why bother trading him. Might as well hope he turns it around somehow and if he doesn't, it isn't like they lost much of a potential return.

2: i beleive babcok already said matthews and nylander will be anchoring the 3rd line

3: benching lupul and michalek will result ina grievance

there wont be a lot of youth in the lineup to start the season... maybe after the deadline once the leafs trade some vets off as rentals

Top 6 is not really a thing anymore.

Top 9 with a crash and bang bottom 3 (Greening-Laich-Martin)

I personally expect Marner with Bozak and either Lupul or Michalek. Which I think would be good for him. Like them or hate them, Bozak and Loops are vets with experience playing with a super skilled player on their line. I especially think Bozak will benefit huge from having Marner on his wing.

Can't wait till next year when Michalek, Greening, Laich, Polak, Hunwick and Robidas come off the books.

There's gonna be some opportunities with all that cap space.

I don't understand why some people think we are going to bury or buy out guys and bring up a bunch of rookies.

It isn't going to happen. I don't think the organization has the appetite for icing 6 rookies.

It shouldn't surprise anyone if guys like Laich, Greening, Michalek and maybe even Lupul will have roster spots. Add in Kadri, Bozak, JVR, Martin, Komarov and you have maybe 3 or 4 forward spots open and two of those will be Nylander and Matthews ...

I think in future there's your 1,2 punch down the middle with Marner playing with Matthews and possibly JVR.
