Close your eyes and imagine Hayes trying to catch someone on a short-handed breakaway after a turnover.
I may be in my 40's and 20lbs overweight, but I think I could keep up with him. - Tonybere
Thats why You have Skjei or McDonagh paired with him.
For the record, this isn't my idea. I want 4 d men on the PP |

Kreider in front of the net, I like Step in that spot. - Fenrir
Unfortunately I think Step gets kind of lost down there.
All I know is they should do something different because the PP sucks balls. |

You know this is the first season in a lil while where they haven't gone in with a true "PP QB"
Maybe with zero expectations something will click |

Good point - mdw7413
This season is just such a wild card for the Rangers. Zero clue what to expect out of them so no point in being all doom and gloom... just yet |

The PP was pretty damn good for like half a season either in 2014-15 or 2013-14 (can't remember which ones). And it was because they took quick and decisive shots. They weren't bombs or one timers or anything crazy like that, but they would make 3 or 4 passes and then wrist shot it on net. Sometimes it went in clean, sometimes the rebound was put in, sometimes it was deflected, and sometimes we didn't score but the PP looked dangerous and confident enough that we didn't lose all the momentum like we do now.
Gotta get back to that. |

Yup. Biggest things for me, are how Skjei, Miller and Hayes play, and how G does being healthy. |

I know right. Funny how one bad playoff run makes things seem long ago. Imagine if they miss the playoffs this year. |

I just want to see an end to this stupid back-passing through the neutral zone BS. Who is the genius that decided making blind passes was a good idea in the best league in the world?
And, I don't know, maybe have two different PP strategies so you can change it once the opposition has you figured out. That doesn't seem like too much to ask of a coach getting paid seven figures. |

Its pretty cool how AV praises the hell out of him. AV isn't know for giving out praise to rookies.
PeteV has been praising Skjei for years, so if it goes bad this season we know who to direct our anger at. |

So many teams do it too. Its insane. You are basically stopping your team from entering the zone with any type of speed. You can't dump it if the defense stands up. Probably one of the dumbest set plays I have ever seen. |
