Yeah, but AV wants nothing to do with him there. I think Millers game is suited for wing though. |

I agree. He's an option tho when there are injuries and whatnot. |

It started w me & Matt on draft day. he said Gorton must be at the bar & I posted the infamous Superman III Drunk gif, it devolved from there. - B2B76

Justin Schultz re-signed with Pittsburgh, one year deal for $1.4 million. Really good signing by the Penguins and he may have only wanted to go back there on a one-deal deal. Anyone else still think the Rangers signing him, especially at that amount, would have been a mistake? |

Well what would be the point Jan? Seems a waste of money if you ask me.
Girardi/McDonagh
Klein/Staal
McIlrath/Skjei
Holden,Clendening
Unless one of Holden, Clendening is AHL bound, it doesn't make much sense.

Who is your second pairing on the points for the PP? We expect first to be McD and Skjei, unless they go 4F, 1D. Could maybe use Holden there, if he breaks camp, but if they go 2D at points, who plays there? |

I'd love to see McIlrath's clapper on the point. |

I think with this roster, they'll be forced to go 4F and 1D on both PP units. McDonagh on the first and maybe Klein and his underrated shot finally get some love on the 2nd unit.
McIlrath should honestly be out there with his bomb of a shot...on a 2 D unit. |

I would do McDonagh /Klein 1st unit
Mcilrath/Skjei 2nd unit.
Skjei and McDonagh have the foot speed to make up for any mistakes on the point by Klein & McIlrath |

I like the idea of Mac and 4F and Skjei and Rath on the other. It's a young 2PP d corp, but that could be good exposure for the young guys. |

How does the expansion draft work in terms of how the expansion teams picks players? Do they basically pick 1 player to take from each team? Or can they take whatever players they want from any team so they could theoretically take 2 or 3 players from one team and 0 from another? - rangerdanger94
1 player per team plus they get the same draft odds as the team with the 3rd lowest points and draft 3rd in every other round. I did a thing in the last blog about who must be protected/who we could protect. Looks like one of Grabner, Fast, Klein, McIlrath, Holden or Raanta would be taken. If McIlrath plays under 40 games however he would be protected. |

If they are going to do a forward on the point, I would like to see Stepan on a point and a better scorer down low. Stepan seems a waste down low on the left dot all the time. Give him the point and let him use his vision. |

Wtf? Klein scores goals, and McIlrath has a (frank)ing rocket that actually makes it to the net.
Edit: Would you rather have Staal who hits the net with 1 out of every 30 shots or McIlrath with a bomb? |

What we need to have a competent Powerplay isn't on the roster |
