How does the expansion draft work in terms of how the expansion teams picks players? Do they basically pick 1 player to take from each team? Or can they take whatever players they want from any team so they could theoretically take 2 or 3 players from one team and 0 from another?

How would you feel about Kreider and McIlrath for Draisitl? EDM is desperately looking for another RHD and McIlrath wouldn't have to be top pair and could become a good 2nd pair dman. As much as I love Draisitl I'm not sure I do that without adding some toughness elsewhere. I think we "win" the trade, but lose almost all of our physicality.
