Same here. Lost too many games last year by 1 goal. Many games we only scored 1 goal.
- cabin

By my count there were 24 games where we scored 1 or 0 goals. 6 of those games we were shutout. That's where the team's main issue lies.

Never said it's for everyone, just said I won't knock him if that's his choice. Same thing with Vesey and Boston. I know it's what I would do or at least heavily consider.

Goal scoring is my biggest key. 26th in GF last year so we have to go up. Okposo and Ennis are the keys to that. I feel Jack hits 30 but think that add of goals evens out since I think Sam gets 20. ROR and Kane aren't going to randomly break out and get 40 goals so it comes down to the new guys and the depth scoring.

If Moulson and girgensons could bounce back that would go a long way too. Next season im looking for more points from our blue line and more secondary scoring. I think our top 6 will be fine.

I agree.

Did you count the empty net goal games ? Seems to have happened more than normal.

I wouldn't expect it from Girgensons if we're using him in a checking role like he should be. 10 should be the realistic ceiling since he's not getting as much offensive zone starts or power play time.

Moulson I'd expect 10, maybe 15 but that's really pushing it, IMO. Again, probably limited minutes and little power play time plus there could definitely be games that he's in the press box.

Bottom 6 I think you're hoping that they all score at least 10 goals and if one gets higher than that you kind of look at it as a bonus. We could really start thinking about upgrading that within the next 2 years.

Didn't look at those, purely looked at those score sheets. Even without those 24 is more than a quarter of the games. Score 1 more goal in half of those games and you're already at 12 extra goals on the year.

Prepare to hear about more deflategate. Brady's appeal was denied. Only thing left is to take it to the Supreme Court and if that happens and they actually hear the case I don't even know what is left to say.

I think we should see Carrier, Bailey and Fasching as call ups this season and possibly a baptiste or Rodriguez. I think our bottom 6 could easily see an upgrade with those guys in the line up. Third line especially

Did anyone pencil in Nylander before this week?

He seems to be surprising people.

Can he make this team this year?

If the Supreme Court gives this any attention this country has MAJOR issues.

We need
Girgensons
Ennis
Larsson
Moulson
Deslauries
Foligno

All to take another step forward from last year. If they all can score 4 - 5 more goals than they did last year, we will be in great shape, IMO.

Agreed, but to do that players need to go down. That will eventually happen as injuries are part of the game. Bailey looks ready to me. Went to the 3 on 3 tournament yesterday and the thing I noticed the most is his speed. Carrier had some bad turnovers but responded to one right away with a great steal of his own. He also scored a few times and had that big hit that hurt the kid that had to get taken on a stretcher. Fasching was using the body as well and took it to Nylander in the last game. Of the 3 he could use the most time in the AHL but that's to be expected.

By year's end I expect Bailey and Carrier to have played for us and potentially one of them staying up if we have a long term injury. One of them on the 3rd line would add that scoring bump that we need. A scoring 3rd line like when we had the RAV line would be the most ideal situation.

They won't...this is a cut and dry collective bargaining issue....Sorry Crybaby Brady...the NFLPA screwed you on this one by giving Goodell such sweeping powers

Personally I doubt he makes it in October. If he goes to Rochester I think he has the potential for a callup but that's it. But that's just based on what I saw.

You know I said the same thing the last 2 times it went to court. I say we just let it die and let Garropolo beat us in week 4.

Give him half the year in the "A".

See how things go and bring him up post All Star break.

Just saw a GMTM quote saying he could see him going back to Junior? I thought it was NHL, AHL, or Sweden? Can he also opt to go to the OHL?If he does that is he allowed to go to the AHL?

He was on loan from Sweden.

It's an option only if his Swedish team opts to loan him again.

It would appear that Murray thinks too highly of him to send him to junior or Sweden. It appears that it's gonna be NHL or AHL.. imo.

I see. So if they opt to loan him he doesn't abide by the CHL transfer agreement then I'd assume, which is how he's AHL eligible. So ranking the best place for him to be I'd say:

1) AHL (Can play on smaller ice, get better, be ready for callup)
2) Sweden (Better competition than AHL. Can't be called up. European ice.)
3) NHL (Best competition, might not be ready for it)
4) Juniors (Worst competition, can't be called up. Play on smaller ice)

I'd assume Nylander has a say in it, though. If he decides I'm not playing in the NHL so I want to go home I'm assuming they'd respect that and allow him.
