Interesting you bring that up. I was watching David Faherty's show on Golf Channel last night. Had Spieth, Day, and McIlroy all on. All said Tiger Woods is still the number one golfer of this generation by a mile. It's not surprising but the fact that they even had to say it is a little ridiculous. - buffalofan19
There isn't one golfer out there right now that will do what Tiger did. I mean hell they literally had to change golf courses because of him. They never "Nicklaus proofed" a golf course.

I loved his explanation about why he was skipping the Olympics. And his answer on what he'd watch, not golf. "Track and field, swimming and diving, you know, the ones that matter."

He did, and it's Jack and Tiger 1 and 1a for me, but the fact is you can't really compare across generations. I believe Jack's major record will never be broken. Unless they add more majors to the schedule anyway. Tiger was the hope and it's highly doubtful he gets there, he's still got 4 to go to tie and hasn't won one in 8 years. Jack did win 3 after the age of 40, so it's plausible, but Jack didn't have the same competition.
I did read an article a while ago that showed that Tiger beat the average score every round for a very long time, years. I can't remember how long the streak was, but it was so far ahead of anyone else as to not even bother comparing them. The making the cut streak was mighty impressive, but beating the field every single round for years? That means you can literally never have a bad round.

I saw that and did laugh a bit. That being said, I do think golf can become like Tennis and be like a Pseudo-major with the right field. What Andy Murray did in London was pretty special.

It was 89 consecutive rounds. Took a year and a half. Next up is Mark O'Meara at 33. Then Cink, Jacobsen and Donald at 32, 30, and 29 respectively. That is insane.
Here's the article: http://www.golf.com/tour-...er-joe-dimaggios?simple=1 It's really interesting. They're making a case for the best streak in sports history. And they may be right. It's longish, but if you like golf it's worth the read.

I think Palmer changed it a lot more than given credit
There has been a repeated suggestion that the "REAL" cause of Ennis' injury is that he fell and hit his head on the toilet, but I don't know whether it's only supposed to be he was just drunk or something a little more salacious. - Der Kaiser
This is what I'm told is the correct story, except no alcohol. It just happened getting out of the shower.

"No, maybe for Risto"
"No.....Eberle?"
"Nah, we are going to do something stupid and move Hall for Larsson"

I hope Murray is not banking on Vesey signing - homiedclown
Godzilla 2' (2019)24/32
Release date: March 22, 2019
Godzilla was originally going to make his reappearance in 2018, but you'll have to wait just a tad longer for His Scaliness. And expect "Godzilla vs. Kong" in 2020.
Interesting comments by Murray not only about Vesey but about Nylander. He loves the kid and there is the possibility according to TM that he might be in Buffalo come October. He also talked about the D corps and will discuss with his scouts about looking at the free agency list for another D man.
