again, playing with subpar linemates. his corsi was a bit above his career average last year, and he was 50-50 in terms of zone starts. pair him with play drivers like G and Voracek and i bet his numbers would go up. guys like raffl drive play on their own and make players around them better, which is why i think he is perfect as the 3C on this team

That was an important signing in my opinion.

Schenn played real well last year on Coots' wing.

It's why I like

21/28/17
10/14/93
12/52/22 (22 being Weise)
The new coach's faves line...76/78/24? or the new Russian.

I guess it's good enough for a middle of the road team. Raffl just drags down Giroux on the top line.

I see it like this.

12/28/93
24/14/17

22/20
3/Prov

My top 6 and top 4 after Schenn is traded for Shattenkirk.

Nope. He will play 77 games this year, missing 5 games due to injury, and score 35 goals.

After we have "dumped" him for a 4th.

Haven't you realized by now that he works for an NHL team? How else would he be privvy to so much inside information about how NHL organizations are run and what they use to evaluate players that we fans do not have access to?

he was a -2 all year, where do you find he is the one of the biggest liabilities on defense? i watched every single game minus one last year, and dont ever remember thinking this guy was a huge liability.

I like it except for Laughts at 3C. Barring dramatic improvement, he's just not capable based on last year. There's Cousins as an option, and unlike Laughts, he showed he can play center at the NHL level and do it well....but then what about Laughton? I guess he or Read would be 3LW and the other 4LW.

Laughts wasn't great at center but once moved to wing his game seemed to pick up. Hence why I let him play wing and find a home either as 1LW or 3LW...But 3LW=low ice time since we know line 4 will play more.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Laughton. Laughton is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Laughton lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense! If Laughton lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.
