Hopefully they both see enough ice time and the plan isnt to sit one on alternating nights. Would like to see each of them play more than 41 games. Maybe after all this Vesey stuff passes, Don will start making some deals. Hopefully it involves 1. McQuaid or 2. K.Miller.

The only thing that McQuaid and K. Miller will be involved in the next couple years is seeing a healthy dose of top 4 minutes. The odds of Sweeney dealing one of those two guys is pretty remote in my opinion. Sweeney/Julien like them, and no one wants them.

Fair point. Would have been nice to see him score a goal in the playoffs. . I mean, the B's ended up paying a first rounder for him, so it would have been nice at the very least for him to impart a little wisdom on some of the players. I look at what it has done for guys like Barkov and Huberdeau and wonder if it might have helped some of the younger guys.

All in the past now. I'm sure Jagr will sign in Vegas next off season. That gambling debt wont pay itself!

I know. I was just hoping there would be 2 open slots available for Chiller, Morrow, or anyone else who may make a push during Dev. Camp. I know we will see both of them at once whenever McQuaid or K.Miller go down with their yearly injury.

They have Chiller and Morrow's names stitched into the seats like a director's chair.

I believe they can still be sent down to Providence barring said player clears waivers, it just means that they make the same salary either way.

Couple years old but this explains it.

I think they will be taking turns warming a seat in the press box this year. Although, it probably wont be long before chara, McQuaid, K. Miller or Liles go down with injury, so maybe it will work out.

Agreed, but I gotta believe the k Miller signing is only to have him succeed McQuaid eventually, sooner than later I mean... One can only hope.

What do you guys think about jason garrison? I haven't really followed him the last couple years, but really liked him when he played for Florida a couple seasons ago. Seemed like a big poop on the pp. With the Killorn signing, Tampa needs to move a contract. Maybe garrison for Mcquaid and a prospect?

I mentioned this before the draft. I thought for sure Sweeney would trade for Garrison or someone similar once he figured out the other teams wanted too much for the top D men. I dont hate the idea, but I'm not in love with the idea either.

Side note, I bet they find someone like Phoenix or Carolina to take Callahan's contract before they trade Garrison. Could be both too, who knows. They would do better by clearing out a forward spot (trading Callahan) and then signing Kuch long term. But, its Stevey Y, who knows what he is cooking up down there.

Even the most consistent writers need a break. My bet is he is on a vacation. Guy deserves it. One of the most frequent bloggers on here. Feel fortunate to be a B's fan on here in that respect. Now if we had a GM that was as good at GMing as Ty is at Blogging, well then we would be in business.

Yup... that pretty much sums it up...
Let's be honest though... trading Seguin was way worse.

I don't care what anyone says... I still don't like PK Subban... that dudes a total Eddie Haskell.

Now we get to play against Weber......joy. seguin was worse than subban, but I don't think it was quite as bad as hall.

Subban was always a Bruins killer though... I feel like he would have his biggest games against Boston... he just seemed to feed off the rivalry.

I love how Shea Weber is mentioned NOWHERE when talking about this trade. It's all just "Montreal is crazy for trading Subban!" Nobody ever mentions that he was traded for Shea Weber... it's insane. I think Weber is a much better overall player than Subban... he's just not a huge attention whore like Subban is.

I think the Hall trade was more just a matter of circumstance. They were overloaded with talented scoring forwards, and severely lacking on defense. I don't think it was a great trade by any means, but I think it was made for different reasons than the Seguin and Subban deals. But why it had to be Taylor Hall straight up for Adam Larsson is beyond me... if they were going to move Hall in that deal, they should have gotten a 1st round pick at the very least in addition to Larsson.
