I'm not sure if they're the same as horseflies to be honest, but they are easily the worst thing I've ever been stung by. It kills for like 5 days after too. Not a good time

I've liked Polak personally. Not the greatest defenseman, but if used as a 5th/6th guy with limited minutes and not against top lines, he can be quite useful to punish the opposition. Good hustle, heart player.

they were extremely common where i grew up, deer flies especially. (frank)ers love hats. still never once had one slice me up.

im not sure they exist in toronto though.
