Killing bulls for sport and to entertain people is barbaric. I have zero remorse for any of these fools who are matadors. Mess with the bull, and you get the horns.

How is killing a bull with a sword any worse than putting it into a slaughter house? As long as there is an audience willing to pay for it, there will be people who do it. If anything, the people paying for it are the barbaric ones.

Looks like we're dipping into the KHL talent pool again:

Anyone know anything about this guy? And where will he play?

It feels like we have too many defensemen.

Just what I've read. He had a good world championship tournament & he said to be a good skating, gritty 2 way forward with good size

I wonder if Hextal and co. will have an "upper-hand" on teams trying to get Russian players out of the KHL...

I dont know off hand, but it seems like we have been one of the heavier "Russia leaning" teams over the past few seasons. Thats gotta speak volumes to Russian players, right?

There is no such thing. A Russian Bobby Clarke would have committed suicide long ago.

Ummm.... I think when it's put into a slaughterhouse it's for the purpose of feeding people. Sticking swords into it in front of an audience is ridiculous.

I like it. It's good to see the franchise going to places for talent that they might not have considered in the past.

I'm kinda interested in how Hextall sees this guy. Did he sign this guy for the Flyers or the Phantoms?

Probably to provide bottom 6 depth. It's not as if VandeVelde was setting the world afire.

VDV only scored 2 goals in 79 games last year. That's hard to do. Gordon is a better faceoff guy, and PKer, so if you are going to get zero offensive production from a player might as well get a guy who can play well in his own zone.

I think Gordon is our Ryan White upgrade.

I guess this guy could take VdV's spot.

Hextall called Wiese a top 9 player. He'll probably take White's spot on PP2.
