JVR - Kadri - Lupul
Michalek - Bozak - Marner
Komarov - Matthews - Nylander
Martin - Laich - Hyman.
Greening, Rychel. 13-14FW.
Soshnikov, Brown, Leivo AHL.
Unless Leafs are able to trade Lupul / Michalek (/Bozak) I think this is the lineup we're looking at for the Leafs in Oct. |

I too believe that Marner will likely play NHL this year.
But can anybody give definitive evidence of a player whose development has been hindered by staying an extra year in the CHL...? - lumlums
I didn't play any years in the CHL and I suck at hockey!
This is concrete evidence that the more you play in the CHL the better you are! |

You are asking for something that you very well know is un-quantifiable.
Quite frankly, I'm disappointed that you - as a scientist - would be asking for this.
Enjoy your ban. |

Mitch Marner 2015-2016. - MaximusAurelius
How so? He scored at a slightly better rate (2.04 vs 2.00 PPG), improved defensively, won pretty much every single individual honour and also the Memorial cup to top it off.... |

I thought that it was Marner... anyway, whichever one of those two go with him should be a VERY nice partnership to watch on the ice |

I think it balances everything out relatively well. Obviously there's many months of development and potential trades to happen, but that would be my choice if the season started tonight... |

And that is exactly my point. People say that it would hurt his development, but there's nothing tangible to prove that this is a phenomenon that occurs.
Sometimes, the fact that there is no definitive answer is the very reason that it's a good question - it forces people to think outside of the box |

As it stands I run:
Rielly - Zeitsev
Gardiner - Carrick
Marincin - Corrado
Hunwick - Polak
Again, just my preference with who we have. Ideally I'd like to move out Marincin/Hunwick and get one of Loov/Valiev up, but I believe both are still waiver eligible so that likely won't happen |

LOL Original Six and I played since I was 6 years old ( and probably at a higher level than you). Morgan Reilly has nearly limitless potential, but he is FAR from a true #1 dman in the NHL at this point. The Bandwagon chirp is so unoriginal and not even applicable. The Hawks are an Original Six team with more Cups before the Salary Cap Dynasty than your franchise has in its entire existence. Also, check the NHL draft/ central scouting to see how many NHL prospects are coming out of Chicago youth hockey before calling any Hawks fan a "bandwagoner". What kind of "Bandwagon fan" is on a hockey blog in July? LOL - EnzoD

Two rookies in your top 4?
also I don't think they signed Polak to sit in the press box. |

For me it’s 2 things:
i) Let guys develop at their own pace. Each player will be different. Let players complete their development in their current league before moving to them to the next league.
ii) Move players up when they earn a roster spot. Given the state of the roster, this seems pretty achievable for someone with marner’s skill set. If this was a veteran SC contending team, another year of junior would probably be more likely imo.
