That being said, I do enjoy the Ron Hawkins who is the singer for Lowest of the Low, a great Toronto band.
Rush is OK. But I don't get the whole Rush Superfan thing, I mean, they're pretty sweet but it's hard to enjoy anything so overplayed by classic rock radio. - James_Tanner
No i agree...I'm not a fan of songs that are overplayed....Rush has lots of classics that never got a lot of air time...i've slowed on Rush, but still love the 1st 10 or so albums.

That is indeed the Ron Hawkins I meant. Sorry, I stopped qualifying which one I mean long ago out of respect!
If you only know him through TLOTL, I urge you to check out his other incarnations - The Rusty Nails, The Do-Good Assassins, as well as some spectacular solo work.
To date, Ron has released a total of 16 albums and EP's between the aforementioned line-ups.
RHCP is garbage, as is all limp-wristed 'rock' released in the last 25 years. Absolute drivel, including the crappy youtube song you imbedded.
Blast beats or 9 min epics or gtfo. One would do well to start with Be'lakor for modern music done well. Or for old school any tech band from Quebec, such as Beyond Creation and Gorguts. Or thrash like Overkill, progressive like Voivod and Vektor, and prog rock like Fates Warning.

If you're gonna troll the king, you'll have to step up your game. Quoting a fact in your profile doesn't offend me, it just spreads my wisdom. Also, you've got to at least be funny sometimes if you're going to do what you do. Just weak. I get it worse from that teenage rangers fan that comes around every-time his suspension is lifted.

You have the worst taste in music, just because it's popular doesn't mean it sucks, and just because it's some obscure song/band that no one has ever heard of doesn't mean it's good or that you have a good taste in music. Marcy playground had one of the best songs of the 90s, and that's literally it, one song. There's a reason Pearl Jam and Soundgarden are still around, still get radio time and still make music, because they are talented and well liked, unlike this awful dribble you insist on posting in all your blogs. I can only assume by your taste in music that: A) your a hurting hipster, and B) you likely have a terrible choice in movies. you need to stop trying so hard to be an "individual" liking unknown garbage to be different. That is all. Completely unrelated I was big fan of your article a few weeks back on how EK got shafted out of the Norris, it was a sad joke and there's no way Doughty (or anyone) deserved it more then him.
