FWIW the Foo Fighters documentary was actually great.
I will disagree on the Pearl Jam knock as well... went to their concert a few months ago in TO and I have to say that Eddie and Co. still put on one hell of a show. I was a fan back in the day... liked some of their album a few years ago and then stopped listening to them. After the concert I delved into them on Spotify a bit... gotta say I remember why I liked them.

Pearl Jam put out 1 amazing album and a few good songs. I think EV is a massive douche. Not saying they dont have talent, but they just have volumes of crap.

Why? Because the guy was a jerk? If that's the case then it should have been closed long ago. Bobby Clark was just about the biggest jerk to ever lace them up. Tiger Williams,... the list goes on and on.
None of that has anything to do with skill level or how a player impacted the game when they were playing. And Lindros most certainly impacted the game every time he stepped on the ice for quite a few seasons.
Started reading Lord of the Rings this past month, loving it so far. - jvar17
A world-changing classic.
If that's for you, then you definitely need to read "The Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson.
**Warning: it is a commitment! 14 books averaging about 800 pages each (hardcover). With around 2000 named characters and a couple dozen detailed cultures. Makes Game of Thrones look like Dr. Suess.
Easily the most complex and detailed storyline I've ever come across. Convoluted at times, but I found it well worth pushing through those areas.

Disagree vehemently that they only had one album. the following are all worth a listen from time to time:
-Ten
-Vs.
-Vitalogy
-Backspacer
Nearly every pearl jam album is decent, it's just that I finally understand why, when I was a kid, my Dad couldn't listen to beatles, stones, doors, who, zeppelin etc.

That's crazy talk. The only possible knock on Lindros is that he had such a short career. I'm too lazy to do the math, but I've seen his PPG averages and they are among the all-timers. If you only look at his Philly years (he was a shell of his former self after leaving), I'd guess those numbers would look even more gaudy. He played in the clutch and grab era, never got the "superstar treatment" as far as calls were concerned because of his size and style, and still put up numbers. Part of the problem was that he probably could have been one of the toughest guys in the league, but knew he he too good to be getting in fights and put in the box. So him not getting involved in that stuff after the whistle caused for his reputation to be soft, but he wasn't. And the whole him versus Clarke thing - in hindsight he was correct. He didn't want to play because he didn't feel he was fully healed from a concussion. Clarke told him to man up and play. If that situation was today, it wouldn't even be an issue. And most importantly...I had his jersey growing up. So definite HOF'er!

...And Tanner,
If you are indeed a Toronto boy ( I seem to remember that is not the case), I lament the lack of Ron Hawkins on your list. One of Canada's most overlooked and under-appreciated lyricists.
Some people not preferring outstanding Prog. Rock as their cup o' tea does not diminish the stature of the Patron Saints of Power Trios!!!
To each his own.
Wow, this is EASILY the most open-minded and non-argumentative I have ever been on a Tanner comment board!!! - Tonybere
Rush is OK. But I don't get the whole Rush Superfan thing, I mean, they're pretty sweet but it's hard to enjoy anything so overplayed by classic rock radio.
