No not really bud.

You can't teach speed.

You can improve it a little but you cant turn someone into a speedster.

Tavares is an average NHL skater at best.

He just excels at other things.

You don't know what you're talking about just let it go.

the average sized players are average speed, not normally are bigger player going to be fast usually never thats the case. Smaller players are always going to be the fastest. Speed can be taught just not when your a fully grown 20 year old.

That was a pretty soft play by Nylander, pulling up and spinning away...eesh.

It's like arguing the rule book with me...I know it, inside and out.

I also employ skating coaches at the rink I run. I have picked their brains numerous times. Once you get to about 16 you're either going to be a fast skater or you're not. Working on edges and agility is what they do once they get older. Being more agile and knowing your edges helps you make hockey plays.

They try to hide deficiencies in someone's speed by making them look smoother and getting their body into a position to make a better hockey play.

Bailey has pretty good hands for a bigger forward and his shot is NHL ready.

This is partially accurate.

Ovechkin is one of the fastest skaters in the league. He is 6'3 240.

But Baptiste isn't a strong skater.

Which is why Bailey is seen as the better prospect

But hes nowhere near the fastest, kids like Johnny G and the small line on Tampa (kucherov, johnson, etc.) they're truly fast.

Eichel is also 6'1 and is close

It's not size.

If it was Ennis would be faster
