Core all have NMC so they must be protected.

Having a brain cramp. When BR played with Kane, who was the LW? Was it Sharp?

I like the idea of BR coming back and that allows AA to play LW with Toews. What will be interesting to see of 72/88's stats drop at all. AA does the dirty work and goes to the net which allows 72 and 88 to roam. BR does not play that way. If BR were to come here and centers 72 and 88, does 72 learn to be a net crasher? I think he can do it.

- z1990z

It was mostly Versteeg on LW.

I believe someone mentioned this name before, but Daniil Miromanov is an interesting player on Team A.

He likes that top shelf backhand move.. And hes 604/180.

Looking at the rosters, Team C is the stacked group. Geezus

Well, he couldn't. So there's that.

I know, I agree, just thought it funny when Al mentioned it originally, figured it would send the board into a Leddy type "discussion".

Alas, its Sat afternoon, most have something to do, me, got too hot doing honey do's in the yard today in NC

A player can waive his NMC, but do you think that any of the players with NMCs would waive to (possibly) play on an expansion team?

Yeah, he sure does. Watching him skate reminds me of Valeri Nichushkin a lot, but obviously no where close to the same player.

Team C looks like the pool of players with the best chance of making the big club this season. I did notice Team C is not slated for any scrimmages, but maybe that is a typo on the site. I don't remember a year where one team did not participate, so hopefully that's all it is.

That was me, but I thought he was a Dman until I looked closer at his stats. Was eligible but went undrafted this year.

Kid showed some nice IQ, good vision, pretty good shot, goes to the net and good size. Gonna need to work on his skating though.

thanks for the link, Scott....

Looked a bit like Mark Wheeler to me in that he hunches, long stick, right shot, heavy in the high slot and has that size. Of course nowhere near the player as Wheeler but he reminded me of him in style.

Hope to see some footage of him in camp.

Bear, I don't know about you but I'll wait and see where Q slots TVR. Hard to believe, at least logically, that TVR is behind Rozival.
- Mr Ricochet

I don't think you'll find anyone saying Rozi should play ahead if TVR, but JJ is hearing the plan is for him to mentor Kempny on ice. I think that's a bad plan, but that's what he is hearing.

Per the NHL rules, those with NMCs have to be protected for the draft. A player can waive for a trade, not the draft.

Not sure if anyone else put this up. The 22-year-old Finnish blue liner won’t be in Chicago for camp. Chicago Blackhawks prospect Ville Pokka will miss the team’s prospect camp due to a lower-body injury, reports Scott Powers of The Athletic.

Dreger reported multiple teams interested in Steeger 5 days ago. I can't imagine him not getting a deal.

If nothing else, it should pair Duncs back with Seabrook, and bring down his mins every night, which can't hurt.

Exactly right. There was little precision to the transistion, especially in moving the puck out of their zone and through the neutral zone. They just kept moving/pushing/swatting/poking/shoving the puck forward with support following the goal being to out man on the puck. The support would read if the forward could gain control, if not swoop in and they'd have a 1 man advantage on the puck, if the forward did control the support would beeline straight ahead waiting for a chip/pass/poke of the puck towards him (or an area he was going towards) until they reached a danger zone. All done at top speed.

If they did turn the puck over it wasn't a high danger event as support was behind the play coming up to support or ready to defend or steal the puck back.

Right on here, Snap. Not much tape to tape but the thing was always going forward with support following all done at warp speed......

>Excellent detail, Rico
>Sullivan sure showed he knows how to coach
>Think his forward shifts were very short, too
>I recall one sequence vs the Sharks where the Pens had two different lines play a full shift (at Sullivan's length) -- and the Sharks line had not even changed -- and the Sharks chased and chased

Weirdly enough, Mark Wheeler is from my hometown of Binghamton, NY.

Same, I would enjoy seeing how he fares in camp.

Next time you get a chance watch Penn State play. Much the same style the Pen's showed under Sullivan. Push, push, push forward at top speed with support close behind and once in the Ozone fire pucks from anywhere and get people crashing. The Pens of course are more precise once in the Ozone in their half court game than the Nittany Lions are. At one point last year Penn State lead D1 in SOG.

I'm not saying Sullivan based his scheme on Penn State's but there are a lot of similarities. .......Penn State is damn fun to watch, Omaha Nebraska too. Push, push, push.

Watching the Finals reminded me a lot of Miami U/Florida State vs Notre Dame or Michigan play football in the mid 80"s early 90's. Speed v size and the speed team could at anytime run you out of the joint if things went their way.

Who did Q scratch the playoffs, Rozsival or TvR? TvR will play in the #5 role but get more minutes than a typical #5.

In an earlier blog is was discussed how Campbell helped so many young defensemen. Maybe Campbell will work with TvR and/or Kempny to bring their game up a level.

I asked the same question as to who played in Game 7 vs STL and it was pointed out to me, and correctly so, that Rozy was probably dinged by the hit Fabbri (taken one pick AFTER Schwartz) put on him a couple games before.

Of course in game 7 if Rozy was healthy it would have been which of Sved or Gus sat while both Rozy and TVR would have dressed. ........... We'll soon see but I gotta believe TVR will get many more games than Rozy will when all is said and done. Maybe Rozy will be Kempny's training wheels early in the year and once he gets peddling TVR takes the bulk of the work from there?

Does Hossa's contract not drop to $1M actual cash after this season? If so, '16-'17 is his farewell tour, he will never play for $1M per season after this season.

Anyone going to Prospect Camp tomorrow? Just wondering, if all FO people are usually there? Both Bowmans?

Interesting to see some of these kids in Group C live!

I just don't see Hartnell happening in any scenario. Would be tough to get CBJ to eat the full 50% and even with that, the contract runs for 3 more years until he is 37. Around an extra $2M to the cap that cant go to 72.
