Franson
Guy thought he was (frank)ing Bobby Orr.
Contract dispute after contract dispute, until finally new management came in and was like "Do you know who ya (frank)in wit?"
and he was out the door - WingmanWillie
Hard to hate Franson in that we traded him for a 1st rounder (which we gave to Philly - if Konecny turns out to be a good player, frank Dubas).
But yeah, didn't like him while he was here.
It was funny how Leafs fans thought he was all that and a Burkie dog - 7th on the depth chart in Nashville, 6-7 on the depth chart here, and people were demanding they sign him long-term for huge $$$$. |

I don't hate Larry Murphy. Leafs Nation owes him an apology. We ran him out of town - and he went on to win two more cup rings, and go into the HHOF. Leafs fans should be ashamed.
Lupus. I kinda get the feeling he cares - he's just made of glass.
Pearson and Berehowsky - once again, not their fault that Ballard was so cheap we only had scouts within driving distance of Toronto.
Blake - already on the list. - Atomic Wedgie
I don't think a fanbase ever runs anyone anywhere. I think that's a silly assertion.
That said, the Murphy situation is tragic |

Semin
and now
Problemov... aka Radulov - thehockeygod
have to disagree on Kovalev... he was pretty good here. led the team in scoring 3 of his 4 years. |

No, really, on this one, we ran him out of town.
Management gave him to the Red Wings as a favour to him. |

Jamal Mayers.
Fringe 4th liner who was disgruntled he wasn't getting more ice time.
You know you suck, right? - Atomic Wedgie
Jamal Mayers cheated on his wife with my ex girlfriend in vegas.
He was playing for Chicago at the time... he even sent her a copy of the schedule after the strike was resume... lol she passed it on to me.. even before the media had it, I had it!
He's a bum. |

Leaf nation owes him nothing.
He played like crap here. He simply couldnt pull it together.
Had nothing to do with the fans.
Some players just dont work on certain teams. |

Nothing wrong with franson or Clarkson. |

Im obviously exaggerating, but I didn't care for him whatsoever.
His situation is completely different from Clarkson's
Clarkson was given a contract he didn't deserve - not his fault
Franson wanted a contract he didn't deserve - completely his fault |

well that was an era where third liners were averaging 140 points/season and goalies spent off days curled up in the fetal position while sobbing uncontrollably |

For anyone needing their daily dose of video to drool over:
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/vid...atthews-and-marner~907279
If Marner keeps passing like that, I will gladly repent my previous doubts on his readiness. I know the M's haven't played a game yet, but it's looking more clear with every passing day, that last year's "best prospect not in the NHL", is now number three on our depth chart.

Marner's passing
Matthews can move for a big guy, the spin-o-rama move was pretty slick.
There is a longer video of the second period on the Leafs twitter.

he was also probably the best thing to happen to the Leafs. without that clown you never hit rock bottom. Nonis was like that final bender that gets an alcoholic to reform just before he chases a handful of viagra with a bottle of bleach. |

Surprised no one has mentioned "the Muskoka 5"
As much as they were skill core guys it was REALLY f**kin' selfish for Sundin et al to refuse to waive to 'help the club long-term"...I know it was their No Trade Right but still from a 'love of the franchise' perspective, it was super douchey and they all essentially bailed anyway but without actually 'taking one for the team' I really hated them for that move.... |

i wonder who'll sell more jerseys?
If Marner becomes out Kane i think he'll be a bigger deal than Matthews. |

Maybe not like with torches and pitchforks, but frankly when your own fans are booing a guy every time he touches the puck, in his own building, as a management team, inept as they were, you pretty much have to answer to that..... |

The fans definitely ran Wilson out of town. Burke said "it would be cruel and unusual to let Ron coach another game in the Air Canada Centre"
