So essentially the trade ends up being:
To TOR: Andersen, future considerations
To ANA: Bernier, a 1st round pick and a second round pick
I think Anaheim did well. I also think Bernier will do great without the glaring media lights of Toronto. - TheUltimateJet
or we could say Andersen, mid rd pick for Bernier, Sam Steel and future 2nd.
I think the leafs did pretty well considering the assets and pick they had stockpiled |

I know jack-poop about junior guys, but I was pleased to see we took a couple of gambles on circus-freak-large defencemen.
What the hell - have them live with Barb Underhill and see if we can get one to stick. - Atomic Wedgie
Greenway seems to be a very good skater and I was hugely surprised at the mobility of Middleton.
Didn't see a lot of the other dman they took from London. |

All ex-Leafs players do well and go on to stardom. - walshyleafsfan
just like scrivens...err grabo...kule....spaling/polak?
I think the leafs are long past the idiot days where we lose guys like rask, steen, seguin etc and it comes back to haunt us. who was the last guy we moved that actually improved after he left TO? Kessel had a good playoffs but didnt even hit 60 pts....Phaneuf? nah he didnt do much.
I trust these guys to not give away useful talent for scraps |

That Mackinnon deal 7 years at 44 million... That is not bad at all. Imagine if we could swing that with Matthews down the line |

Ooooooo Barb is getting some...she can teach them to skate, but they won't have any "legs" left. |

Top 5 Leafs hated by Atomic Wedgie (in no particular order). And there may be more than 5.
Bernier. See post above.
Jim Korn. Tore the dressing room apart.
Corson. Same as Korn.
Blake. Did not give two poops about the team.
Salming. Yeah, I know - you didn't expect to see him on this list. He was a fabulous player, and he rightfully deserves to be in the HHOF. But here's the thing: he's the beginning of blue and white disease. And it isn't even his fault: Ballard loved the guy so much, he refused to let him go when he was clearly past his prime. But Salming hung on until the almost bitter end, and prevented the Leafs from moving forward. He was the beginning of vets way past their prime, who remained with the club because they were fan favourites. I love ya, Borje, but I also hate ya.
Billy Sweatt. Too good for the Leafs? Funny, you went on to play 3 games in the NHL.
Craig Simpson. Too good for the Leafs? Although I'm glad you were an arrogant d-bag, because we got Wendel instead.
Harold Ballard. Oh Lord, don't even get me started. #1 on the list.

Dominic Tonatto (sp?).
Matthews, in his post interview, said it was an accident and he wasn't mad but he looked pissed to me. |
