Thats why we have Matthews, Marner and Nylander.
You don't build a team of players that wow you.
Soshnikov, Hyman, Rychel are effectively going to be replacing Lupul, Greening, Laich by being cost-effective, younger replacements

I like how the Hawks build their team.
pay top dollar for your core guys
Consistently rotate in younger, cheaper options to fill the spots of the guys who make too much/will want too much
That team has moved out more talent in the last 5 years than the Leafs have had in the last 5 years. |
