Isles get another wing for JT to go along with Ladd and it really changes things in a good way. The focus really needed to be and continues to be moving Halak and Bailey or Kulemin so they have the room to add another wing. - ses111
Definitely. If they add that #1 winger, then this would be the best offseason Snow would have, imo |

But Chimera is an upgrade over Martin, and I think Ladd is an improvement over KO. Now, this is where it's interesting, if Snow makes a trade for a 1w, you have Strome/Nelson at 2c/3c (depending if one gets packaged). Then you can have ?/JT/Ladd, with PAP at 2w/3w based on the rest of the players. If nothing else happens, yeesh, a little trouble. - Isleshockeyman
Chimera is an upgrade on Martin for sure on paper. Don't know the chemistry he will have etc. That said he should do well. Ladd an upgrade over KO, Meh different players imho but maybe slightly better, but brings a toughness and grit the team lacked, so I like it as well. Again the chemistry he has with his new mates is of great importance. Some of these FA signings Don't work out to well for what ever reason. It's a team game and your team mates and the chemistry help make you the player you are.
Asking young centers Nelly and or Strome ( who was a dumpster fire last year) to fill Frans's skates is a big task to fill. Last year we were banking on the kids to make big strides and that did't work out to well. This year we are asking even more of them. Time will tell how they do. But yes again we need to make another REAL move.

That's always the unknown (bold), but there has to be the thought that it could work well. That they're good room guys. You certainly don't want to bring in guys, even if they're the best in the league, that are a known cancer to the room. There was a guy who played here in Tucson in the late 90's named Trevor Jobe. Hell of a player (especially for the league they were in), but a total alcoholic. Drank in between periods. Couple of the players told me that he was great, lit up the AHL, but he wouldn't be there long. Sure enough. 3-4 weeks later he was gone. Nobody in the room liked him, total head case. The point is there's info out there on these guys and you have a sense, especially if you're a GM, of what players are like. You have to branch out once in a while. Snow definitely needs to make a move towards improvement. We're on the same page here, at least in the same chapter. |

I've just spent the last 3 days fishing and haven't been able to check in, and since I'm to lazy to backread I have 3 questions.
1) Did Snow find JT a winger yet?
2) If not did he and Cappy get fired yet?
3) Has anyone nominated IshmaeltheHarsh for mod yet? |

Ladd and Chimera both add some championship experience with cup runs and regular season runs plus factor in more leadership with potential youth addition. PAP comes at minimal cost and and is an upgrade over Bernier and Boulton as a minimum. - Fan101
Chimera and pap are placeholders for del colle barzal ect I think snow has them pegged to be the future and didn't want Ko and martin taking up a spot for that long |
