Yes I know just saying in regards to chara, Chia was busy giving us essentially the same deal for gr - Upstate_isles
Agree upstate, the GR deal is making me scratch my head. I believe that was a fan hug move bringing the kid home to play. I think that will bite him in the ass.

I'm pretty sure they would have to give us gr + + for barzal in a few years and gr+ for beauliviler

Maybe Garth can get a bunch of expired McDonalds monopoly peel-offs for him. - eichiefs9
That may not be too far from the truth.

The Sabres are going to use many tactics in their recruiting pitch to Jimmy Vesey. Kyle Okposo revealed the simplest one of all. Tell Vesey the Sabres are going to win. Okposo, officially introduced Thursday in Buffalo, sees good things ahead for his new organization and hopes Vesey sees it, too.
"I would tell him that we’re going to be a good team for a long time, and it’s going to be a fun organization to play in," Okposo said in First Niagara Center. "When you have the Pegulas at the helm, it’s going to be a great organization. We’re going to be contenders. That’s something that isn’t always there on teams. I know that personally. We went through a really tough stretch with the Island.
"There’s not going to be those rough times ahead. We’re going to be good."
Okposo, who signed a seven-year, $42 million contract Friday, reiterated how excited he is to join the Sabres after nine seasons with the New York Islanders.
"There's so much skill, and the future is bright," the 28-year-old said. "I really believe that we can win here, and that's what sold me. That's why you play the game. You play the game to win a Stanley Cup, to win a championship, to raise banners. I think this team has the ability to do that."

Good riddance. He was part of the problem he's got a lot of nerve with his disappearing act when it mattered. Just have to replace the output but you all know my feelings on both him and Mr Softee. (frank)em he should be thanking islander fans for enduring watching his constant disappearing acts in the playoffs.

Could not agree more CPT. KO as this great leader is very funny. He came up small more times than not. KO can blame Isles ownership all he wants. It's always someone else's fault with KO.

Believe me I have my problem with management and the owner it's well documented but him being a total no show for years when it mattered has nothing to do with Snow, Capuano, or anyone else. That's all on him.

Exactly Cpt. As bad as Wang and Cappy have been, I doubt they are telling KO to fall over the blueline or to play soft and not come up big during the playoffs. Pegula is not going to help KO be a better player and leader and KO no longer has JT carrying him. KO has always talked bigger than his game. He is the first guy to complain about something and one of last to step up.

Yep. Guy is all talk. He showed up for two games against the Pens 2 yrs ago and he has been living off those two games since. That player disappeared after that series. Power forward my arse.
Buffalo will be sorely disappointed if they think KO will be a force in leading them to the Cup. - ses111
Yes he and 5mm a year 9g scoring moulson will lead the way to cup
Really ko, you went to buffalo Bc they have great chance of winning the cup? Laughable.
So what the hell was that I missed on Saturday with Oiler fan? It seemed as though he just wanted to argue. Was his contention solely that the Hammer-Hall offer never existed because no Oiler insider said so? That you guys are a bunch of homers and over value Isles players?

Here you go Jimbo, Kuli, Bailey & Halak for a 5th. - Isleshockeyman
This just in from a reliable source....
Halak still isn't skating. As in not since the season-ending injury.
As in, doubtful for WHC which means he will be difficult to trade if he is not playing.
Sorry for the bad news on a Monday morning but since certain beat writers have failed to report (or aren't aware), I felt I was obliged to keep the fans in the loop.
That's all in the info I have. Nothing more specific.
