Hagg got a couple of inches and 20 pounds on Ghost.

Morin, Sanheim, Ghost, Hagg, Provorov last summer.

Probably Stone Harbor, NJ. They do an annual rookie camp and one day is spent doing "The Trial on The Isle" where they do a triathlon and then autograph sessions and close with a game of slow pitch at the local little league field

would hag return a 2nd rd pick back if they decided to trade him?
- rinaldo

Wouldn't you think the Flyers have the time to allow a player, who has the raw tools, the chance to put it together? There's no rush to get this defense core into the league. With young guys like Ghost, Prov, even MDZ; the Flyers can let Hagg develop at his own pace and bring him up if/when he's ready. It's not worth giving up a top-4 guy for a 2nd rounder, assuming that's Hagg's ceiling.

I found this to be a really good read on Hextall's philosophy concerning prospects and why guys like Provorov won't simply be handed a job.

who said they shouldn't allow him to develop? all I did was pose a question.

Just because that may be ones ceiling doesn't mean one will reach it. At some point with the log jam on defense prospect wise one would think one or more may be moved at some point. That some point is unknown right now.

Its interesting. Carolina seems to be taking a much different approac with their young d. Throwing them into the fire and moving out Vets like liles, sekera, now wiz. Two teams in the same division with some of the strongest d prospects in the league taking entirely different approaches

Seems like it'll be hard for Morin and Hagg to get much PP time with Brennan, O'Neill and Sanheim joining the Phantoms.
- Feanor

I think Hexy and Gordon will be smart enough to realize the guys they think will contribute most to the future will get the playing time. maybe not to start, but i can bet they wanna get looks out of all their young guys. does nothing for morin and hagg to watch while career AHLers get the playing time. theyll be smart about it for sure.

I hope he comes out of left field like Nik Hjalmarsson did for the 'Hawks.
- Tomahawk

Yes, please. Good news is there is absolutely no reason to rush him, and unless he's part of a package deal, no real value in trading him. Give him time, hope he makes progress, starting with this upcoming season. Who has been the on-ice veteran to help the Phantoms rookies the past few seasons, AMac? Drewiske? Manning? Could be good to have Brennan, O'Neill, etc.

Some interesting pics of the prospects. Not familiar with Garrett McFadden.
