I didn't read the Garth spew(aka blog) but just came to congratulate Garf on a blog title that didn't include a garbage attempt at a pun or word play.

Garf's blog don't count as Sabre blogs. Even Sabre fans know and admit this fact. A Garf blog is basically what you would get if a drunken 10 year old could type words.(most of the time Garf uses words, sometimes he makes words up, sometimes he uses words in place of other words(that's the drunken part), but mostly he just cries about what other teams have that his team doesn't(that's the 10 year old part).

They are "cherry picked" for the entirety of the Sbares history as a team... The leafs haven't won a cup since there was more than double digit teams in the league. A 1/6 shot is a lot easier than a 1/30 shot

Ehh, I like the aggressiveness of GMTM here...he has 5 weeks to continue to push Buffalo on Vesey ... Likely other teams will have a couple of days. Not saying He signs in Buffalo, for I truly believe he doesn't know yet where he wants to go ... Hence why the 5 weeks of brainwashing may give the Sabres an advantage.

A 3rd is a relatively low cost...and the Sabres had 4 of them at one point, making it a better value for the chance to negotiate longer.

Doubt that would be considered hounding the kid, that's why they traded for his rights to have the opportunity to do so. The kid said he has a short list and Buffalo is on it so why not use it to the Sabres advantage, What would you do wait to August 15th to start talking to him?

I hate to say it, this kid is most likely going to Toronto with Daddy. Isn't that a conflict of interests this entire time?

After today, apparently they didn't get him signed, stop giving this kid this red carpet treatment, the rest of the team, most likely, resents him at this point, and you know teams that he does spurn, he will be a target of some crushing checks when he finally plays an actual game. This cat hasn't even played an AHL game yet. Don't tell me NCAA is the same thing.

Yeah, I don't get all the hype on him. Sure he looked good in the NCAA, but should that guarantee him a top 6 spot on an NHL roster before he has even played a game?
I keep hearing that Buffalo is the only team willing to guarantee him a top 6 spot. Maybe that is just hearsay, but why?
I can guarantee that the Leafs would not guarantee him such a spot, but would make him prove it first. Why would Buffalo giving him such a spot for free, when they currently have a better NHL roster than Toronto...?
If I were a Sabres fan, I'd be worried by that kind of talk.

I highly doubt vesey is coming to Toronto. We haven't signed Matthews yet because lou doesn't like giving out performance bonuses. Can't see him giving them to vesey. He's probably going to Boston or a contender.
