One single part of an interview was clipped and referenced here. The guy has a lot of opinions and I enjoy listening to him. He had no idea what TMGM was up to other than the obvious so what?

Others like Buscaglia or Capaccio are always saying that "people in the building" are telling them stuff. Of course, they tell him what they want they want him to know. Hardly inside information.

That interview I clipped was my recap so I'm sorry if anyone thought those were direct quotes. My point was more that if you are going to be the beat reporter and get interviewed, then you should engage. I've no issue with saying "I don't have a scoop/I won't guess" but if that is what you are going to offer than say something else. Instead he seems to cut it off as if he's annoyed they're asking him questions in the off-season. That particularly is the thing I don't like, acting like he's too high up for our peasant questions in July.

This would be at Predator Ridge golf course, about 15 minutes from where I live. Both of them live in the Okanagan Valley in the summer. If I happen to see either of them crossing the road, what do you want me to do?

I will definitely agree that he has patience. My biggest gripe with him is how much of a homer he is. I know the Bills pay his check but he seems to go out of his way to avoid criticizing them on anything.

I don't agree. John Murphy is a fan of the team just like the rest of the WGR guys. He's definitely provided plenty of criticism to those who require it. He's not Jerry Sullivan. But when someone isn't performing to expectations, he's not afraid to discuss it.

Yeah, that is true. But when I think homer I think "Adam Mair is a 2C" not really "Adam Mair isn't the worst guy in the NHL". I think of Garth as a homer. Murphy just doesn't criticize as often of as hard as some people. I personally find his positivity refreshing, because it's not at Garth levels. Negativity for negativity's sake is just boring and trite.
