I remember saying back when Stetcher was signed that it is just like getting a second round pick for free. I know you say he will be an AHL player but just maybe he might make the Canucks in two years. From what he showed at the NCAA tourney , he is slick skilled and smart.

To think if Van can get a top 4 D out of Stecher and Juolevi next year. Other then Hutton the top 4 are signed for a number of years. With what D are going for could stock the cupboards or get that top 6 with grit and size.

Just a little interesting (nuck bias) reading with your morning coffee

East Coast ( Toronto ) biased for sure. Only an idiot would rank Toronto as # 9 . The only improvement TO made this year was Mathews. After all the hope they had with Stamkos ,and ending up with Bozak as the number 1 still. Their top forward is JVR. The koolaid has to be mighty sweet back there.

Hey the Ducks have reunited Kesler and Raymond , they just need now to aquire Sameulsson or Grabner. They even have Bieksa on D.

I like how the blues make it to the 3rd round ...lose backes, Brouwer, Elliott and they are a better team now ??

What I don't understand is people are still talking tear down for Vancouver. This team looks like the 14-15 team that finished 10th best team in the league. Sedins haven't slowed down points wise. Bo and Sven are 2 years older.

Yeah, don't see that at all. Blues took a kick to the nuts.

Hurricanes get much praise for TT

They sure don't have a clue

No one back there stays up late to actually watch the Canucks. They are too busy seeing what size skate Mathews wears .

The leafs are still years away. One player of a 23 man squad. At least Van is trying to compete while allowing their prospects to develop. Leafs are pulling an Oilers.

I am going to go out on a limb and say Sven will be traded shortly after arbitration is done. He is the closest we have to a 2LHF and that is the position Canucks want to upgrade.

With JV or Etem as the number 3 , I see Sven as part of the package out the door.

Yea that ones a classic. Funny thing is, its better than the Sbisa/Burrows offer lol.

JB can't afford to give for Barrie. Already moved McCann. If he traded:

Boeser
Virtanen
Juolevi

There will be more riots. Even Hutton/Tanev. D are too hard to get. Barrie as good as he is offensively is a liability in his own end. JB just doesn't have the assets. WPG and EDM do.

Complete idiots! Why is it that the only way to rebuild now is the complete teardown that Toronto is doing? Their media are idiots!

It's been proven time and again there's many many ways to rebuild your clubs. Los Angeles and Chicago didn't outright tank to rebuild, they were just bad for two or three years and made good picks to add to the good picks they'd already made, like Kopitar 10th, Quick 3rd rnd, Toffoli 2nd rnd, Simmonds 2nd rnd, Keith 2nd round, Seabrook late 1st rnd, Buff 7th rnd, etc. etc.

The Canucks, I read, have more projected players under the age of 25 in their lineup than the Leafs FFS. I wonder if their media guys can count?

I dont think Barrie is a liability, as much as PK Subban and Erik Karlsson are liabilites, but youre correct that the Canucks just dont have the assets to compete with WPG's prospect pool, or the quantity of high profile young forwards of the Oilers.

To me, Boeser is the top untouchable young player in the organization. He has that scoring ability, doesnt appear to be soft, and is showing more and more as the year has gone on that hes got leadership qualities and good character. I am really looking forward to when he leaves college and joins the Canucks. I dont think he will have quite impact as Larkin did in his rookie year, but close to it. No AHL for him

It really is infuriating...we get three articles a day on the kid. He is just a kid for (frank) sakes! How about an article on Pulj or Juolevi? What a (frank)ing joke. Nothing would make me happier than Matthews busting out and ending up back in Europe

Sssshhhh. Don't mention the Leafs, little Clarky feels left out if he's not here to trumpet them. The Leaf obsession with Canuck fans is kinda cute.

It's simply amazing...Now that the Leafs decided to follow the Edmonton model it's the only way to rebuild. these same media hacks were criticizing the Oilers for years and now they praise the Leafs? What the (frank)? They are emulating the Oilers.
