Royals, along with Lamarche. Willcox has inside track to final AHL spot. - bmeltzer
Willcox looked very overwhelmed last year before he got injured. With almost a full year off, I would be surprised if he makes the Phantoms in October. Reading may provide an opportunity to get major minutes. |

What "hometown discount?" He'd been with the team for a few weeks. - jmatchett383
I am just talking in general terms of resigning contracts. |

Hometown discounts are fine if you're a star player. When it comes to $8.5M and winning or $9M and losing, you can make concessions. When you're an average bottom-6 NHL player who can only surely bank on 1-2 paydays of over $2M, you take every penny you can get. |

TCH and URS were where it was at.
Edit: If two opposing players fight for the puck for a certain amount of time, other players join into the fight, resulting in the player from the losing team in the fight to be put in the penalty box for a period of time.
This is how penalties should be handled in the NHL. See also: Mutant League Hockey - jmatchett383

Myers has hip surgery. Where is he expected to play next season, QMJHL again?
Assuming that Brennan is assigned to the Phantoms and does not earn a seventh defenseman spot on the Flyers, the Phantoms will have three veterans (Brennan, O'Neill and young vet Mark Alt) and four young defensemen (Sanheim, Samuel Morin, Robert Hägg and Reece Willcox) in as their top seven.
Looks like a good mix of vets and rookies, offensive and defensive skills on D.
Morin is going to have his hands (fists) full protecting all the small forwards next season. Bully. |

I see, Myers is a January birthday...just a bit too young to move up to the AHL next season. |

Willcox didn't get injured. He played a full season in college, then joined the Phantoms for the end of the regular season and played 6 games.

You must be thinking of Marti, who went back to Swizterland.

If the Flyers offered you $6M for 5 years, and you didn't think you were worth it, would you accept their offer or argue for less? - jmatchett383
[hb logic] take less, he already made millions and doesn't care about money anymore [/hb logic] |

Flyers need to hire a document expert to forge some fake birth certificates. |

Seriously, he was born in Canada so I assume the birth certificate was printed on moose hide or tree bark and stamped by the town elder. How hard could it be to forge? Get it done, Hexy! |

I stand corrected. Yes, I was thinking of Parks, not Willcox.
Again, forward vs defense. Last October was a very long time ago when I suffered through another also-ran Phantoms campaign. Please excuse my aging memory.
Marti wasn't bad. Poor kid couldn't stay healthy. |
