I dont know. Feel like if he gets hit mid ice, he's gonna shatter, and you know he'll be hit mid ice at some point during the season.

Leafs dont have big bodies to protect him with, either. I'm not too sure about him.

then again, playing 10-15 minutes per night vs adults, to start off with, might be a good challenge for him vs playing 20 minutes with kids

The kid has been hit by big guys in the OHL and in tournaments. Ya NHL'ers are bigger...but the kid isnt made of glass.

He'll get hit...may even get hurt....but should do well. He can fly on skates....just needs to stay aware.

If you get hit by anyone when you don't see it coming, AHL, OHL, NHL it's going to sting.

I agree there are bigger and stronger bodies in the N...but a concussion can happen from a blindside from a 170 pounder, or a 220 pounder.

Key is to stay out of those area's and keep your head up!

Martin/Komarov/Polak/Rychel can all lay hits and drop the gloves if need be.

My guess is the Leafs are going to play him, hence is why they signed Matt Martin and Polak. The kid(s) will be a little less intimidated with some protection out there.

Strenghts: He's very very talented, good speed, good shot, great offensive player, seems to raise his game in important moments.

Weaknesses: Small, Grip of an 11 year old girl, not heavy enough, plays for the leafs.

It would be great for him to go down to the OHL and play 30 minutes a night taking 2 minute shifts playing all 2 minutes of power plays and just torching the league for like 150 points against kids again. I'd be disappointed if he made the Leafs and started playing under that 8 million dollar coach the leafs got and to start living and playing the professional game. Maybe next year he will have put on another 5 pounds and he can start to play with the Leafs then..
