Didn't realize Ladd's deal a million base salary. ROR, set the trend with that. Smart move. - tomburton99
Clarkson too. It's what made that contract damn near buyout proof.

How about Girardi and Staal "retire" ... and the rangers hire them as assist coaches/corp jobs within the organization and pay them the same amount that would come off of books for the rangers playroll/salary cap.. win/win!! |

How bout we give them, along with the whole team, somewhat of a mulligan for an underachieving season? Which in itself is kind of crazy to think about after a season where they were in the top half of the league. If I came from outer space and had no idea what hockey game was, and looked like an alien, like nyrsucks, I'd think the Rangers were worse then a beer Leauge team based on what I've read and seen over the last couple months. |

Where do the Rangers find another RHS d-man? Calle Andersson, James Wisznewski, Marek Zidlicky. Oh man, Stanley cup here we come. |

in a perfect world I think they'd like it to be Shattenkirk, but they are going to have to hope he makes it to UFA next summer |

Even then, how do you fit him? Unless Girardi has a bounce back year and could possibly be traded, or he gets bought out. Shattenkirk is going to get paid. |

next summer Nash will only have one more year left on his deal, if still here and maybe that'll be easy to deal |

Maybe at the deadline this year if things aren't going so well with the Rangers. He would be in the same position that Yandle and MSL were in when they got dealt.

I guess Klein or McIlrath could be traded for picks then. I would have an erection that lasts longer than 4 hours if Shattenkirk and McDonagh were our top pairing. |

If things don't go well this year those Girardi/Staal contracts are going to look even worse. Especially if they don't play better.
Gotta believe if things go down hill this season, bye bye AV and poop will blow up. |

I do think this group as a whole deserves a mulligan season like this season. They've been disrespected unjustly Imo. You have a handful of teams that have done what they have done over the last 3-4 years. We didn't win it all but had a chance. It's not easy to win it and a lot of shyt has to come together for it to happen. I could see this team shocking people next year and making a serious run because they have the pedigree and experience to do so. I could also see it going very bad too lol. I just think certain players, I'll even include Nash, deserve more respect by fans. It's conceivable they hit a wall hard last year and are very humbled and ready to make amends for it. Again they lost to a great team one that appeared to be unbeatable. |

Don't have to convince me TJ. I have been on the positive train for next year.
Pretty much agree with what you wrote, but if they poop the bed next year, I'm joining Tom on the blow poop up train. |
