Palmieri had a 30 goal season. Kreiders best was 21(?). Kreider should get less
- mdw7413

Kreider is 25 and has 129 points in 248 games. Palmieri is 25 and has 146 points in 280 games.

That would be my case if I'm Kreider headed into arbitration.

I don't have anything against the guy, really never seen him play much, but what was the point of Holden? they have LHD up the arse already. Skjei must be slated to play the Right side is the only thing I can come up with

Mcd-Skjei
Staal-Klein
Holden-Girardi/mcilrath

Girardi must be the 6th guy, PK specialist kinda. They gotta limit his minutes

blows him away in playoffs though

True, I'm not saying Kreider shouldn't get a raise, but I would be extremely uncomfortable with anything around 5.

Its for when they trade Staal for Shattenkirk which involves the Oilers also somehow. The end result we get Draisaitl

They have to keep Kreider somewhere in the low to mid $4 millions, IMO. If he is demanding much more than that, then the Rangers might have to consider other options.

As much as that guy mentions draisaitl, it brings back memories of me shoving Bickell down everyone's throats haha

I think 5 years at 4.5 is realistic for both sides. I can't see Kreider getting awarded much more than 4.5 at arbitration, and I also doubt it comes down to that.

I was like that with Lecavalier. Every time there was a rumor Tampa wanted to move him I said the Devils have no number 1 center, they should offer the world for him. Damn glad they didn't now though.

Regrets I've a had a fewwwww...

I wanted Bickell bad and then Eric Staal real bad...needless to say, my favorites never work out either haha.

But we all have favorites in an effort to play GM with their favorite teams. You see a need the team has and you say yea this is the guy. Ain't nothing wrong with it

You know what I would have done. I would have signed Staal to that same contract he signed in Minnesota 3 years/$10.5 million, made him my third line center, and traded Hayes for assets.

Honestly, they need to make a trade. If that means moving Kreider to start the rebuild for a first round pick and prospect, so be it.

I just don't think there was a mutual like for one another between Eric Staal and the Rangers

Yeah, maybe. I do think he will outperform that contract though. There is a big difference between Eric Staal with $9 million expectations, and $3.5 million expectations.

I still think Nash probably has the most trade value right now and could be moved if the Rangers were serious about opening up space.

when you look at his gamelog stat chart, it looks so bad after the trade to the Rangers

it's really shocking how ineffective he was

Wonder if they could trade Marc there now, since they are brothers and love each other like us, maybe he'd waive that clause.

Pomenville and Coyle for Staal and Fast or something

And I am still pushing for a real cheap flyer on Yakupov. Just because I won't give up on him.

I would definitely take that gamble for cheap.
