The only thing that could have made it even better of a blog would have been adding e5 at the end of the trade proposal......Tanner you are the best brah.

Those JVR and Bozak trades you guaranteed at the draft were great....you gave those a KG5 didn't you?

I don't really see that being a good deal for Tampa. First of all Bishop's cap hit isn't than bad. He is the 10th highest for goalies (5,950,000), and his stats would warrant him actually being higher. So he is no throw in... The Leafs just traded a 1st and 2nd round pick for Andersen and then signed him to a 5,000,000 cap hit. Bishop is far more proven, and I can see him being traded for a 1st round plus. Namestnikov and Palat are young players with significant upside and I'm fairly confident that Tampa wouldn't trade them for Murphy and Perlini. I watched Murphy play for the Sarnia, and Perlini for Niagara and both did fairly well in Junior though neither one dominated at that level. Murphy may be a number 3-4 Dman and Perlini regressed in 2015. Huge deals rarely happen, but it is fun to dream them up.

I for one was looking forward to an Auston Matthews deal to Arizona. With the golden boy Doan almost done, The Yotes need a big draw like Matthews to help drive ticket sales for the new arena. The Yotes would need to pay a premium to pry Austin away though... Maybe Strome, Chychrun, and Domi. Huge price, but its the only way it will happen.

Coyotes are going to be legit when this trade goes through

Domi Datsyuk Duclair
Palat Strome McGinn
Namesnikov Hanzal Doan
Callahan Keller White

Pronger OEL
Goligoski Chychrun
Michalek Tinordi

Bishop

With Datsyuk being a Selke winning 1st line center and a bonafide Norris trophy winner on defense in Pronger, not to mention all the players they are getting from Tampa for nothing, I smell a Stanley Cup parade in Glendale!

Arizona would be nuts to offer that, they need to stay patient and keep building.

To Tampa.

OEL, Domi.

to Yotes

Kucherov, Bishop and Drouin

If your trading for Kucherov or Drouin....then say good bye to OEL.....see cap relief and a fair trade.

So because Tampa will have to do work in the future to make the salary cap fit their burgeoning young and competitive team, they should discount some players and think of them as large contracts and problems to be moved out - not value or assets - and should grab the living hot garbage that the fire sale of the desert perpetually ices in return.

Well it was fun to read, like you said.

Bishop is an asset, that's why they get three players that they can play in their lineup next year.

But sure, as I said right in the article, it's probably stupid and unrealistic.

I don't think "probably" is required here.

Firstly Callahan could have a bounce back year after the surgery, secondly bishop is not a negative and if the price of trading bishop is worse than letting him walk, why would we do that? I'd want someone more proven than perlini and we can subtract palat and fillpula-no.2. Callahan, bishop, namestnikov for Murphy, perlini and a first. Given the recent price of 2 seconds for Fredrick Anderson bishop should entertain nothing less. Namestnikov is more valuable than perlini. Murphy is hopefully becoming a more valuable asset than Callahan. But I would still say more is needed on the coyotes side.

This is like former Oilers blogger Richard Cloutier's daily blog about the Oilers "helping" Nashville by trading a 1st and a 2nd for the then-newly-signed Shea Weber.
