Larsson had 18 points last year. 30 points would be a MASSIVE improvement. He can be a good player AND still not enough to make Edmonton's defense good enough because he lacks certain skills. If it was Larsson and Demers I'd say this defense is a lot less leaky but still lacks top end offense.

ONLY adding Larsson means its still leaky (see Fayne, Mark) and not anywhere close to better offensively.

Now if he returns to that form on a team with as much offensive potential as the Oilers 35 points is realistic. It's not a given that the Oilers are going to put up gaudy offensive numbers next season. I know they have some new guys and there were some key injuries last year but they were in the bottom third in goals for. A lot of that could probably be blamed on an offensively inept defense. Larsson doesn't change that.

Having Larsson and presumably a healthy Klefbom will allow guys like Serkera, Davidson and Fayne to play a more appropriate spot in the lineup and in theory making them more effective.
