Very good. Not worth that package alone, though. Dermott could be just as good. You never know. - BetterCallSaul
Now how about this? Let's say the leafs know they have one of or the best chance to sign Vesey. The conversation has had to come up with his dad..it'll be never spoken about but they have an idea of what level of interest he would have in this leafs.
Then do you make that deal? Vesey takes JVR's spot |

Nope. Eriksson's 30 goals is going to lead to a playoff push
- BetterCallSaul
put it this way, I like the drafting that's happening...but they're in tough to even sniff a wild card spot. |

JVR and Barrie should be equals in value, all things considered. The scale may tilt toward Barrie because of his RFA status vs. JVR's impending UFA status. He doesn't merit Dermott as a + though.

Yeah (frank) it. Barrie is still young too
Thing is, they can't hang on to every single prospect forever. Reality is that there isn't enough room for all of them. It's not the same as past regimes sending prospects and picks for aging vets to win now
I'd probably do JVR and Dermott for Barrie |

Unfortunately Hall for Larsson set the bar
JVR is not as good as Hall and Barrie is better than Larsson |

This is a good point. Other GMs can tell Sakic to (frank) off though. That one low ball sell won't set a trend. |

I don't think that trade set the bar. It made GMs think they can get more for D men. But the fact of that matter is 29 other GMs can't be that stupid.(I hope) |

The Oil have been trying to get a top pairing d-man for years and everyone knew it.
They were always going to get bent over on any deal they made as punishment for all those 1st overall picks they got.
Chia just had the balls to actually pull the trigger. |

I think something like this is more realistic.
Not sure a winger for dman trade helps the avs. |

I (frank)in love the guy.
But there's a lot of offense up front on the way. Not so much for a top pairing D |

I have his jersey. Winter classic too. Tough to pass up getting a top pairing D man. I hope we don't trade him but at the same time we need a d man badly. Dermott is a good kid but I don't know if he's the type of d man that can turn into a top pairing. More likely a good bet at a 3/4 2nd pairing |

Got it as a gift it's a real nice looking jersey. But I believe it cost just under 200$ at the time real ones are expensive
Just got a free Bautista jersey
he may be gone after this season but can't go wrong with free. A friend of mine got it as a gift and didn't want it |
