Given what it cost the Oilers for Larsson leafs would have to give up Matthews to land Barrie..

Hmm. If it's gonna be a huge trade involving top prospects, I might prefer going for Trouba

I think MIB's straight ahead, just-the-facts style is great for the Leafs blog, because the team is so divisive already. I think some of the more interactive, colourful bloggers on the site would invite so much chirping themselves that the threads would be out of control.

I like Lucas' blogs too though they are different in style and tone. Having both of them works well, it's a little variety, and makes sense that the Leafs would have at least a couple of blogs.

If we get Trouba I think it will be for Gardiner plus an additional good asset. I could see JVR possible getting moved for Dumba.

If Russell still gets signed I could see Gardiner out the door.

when i first came here, leafs always had 2 blogs...i think one was ken becket? or something and augello. One did game day blogs and the other offered more opinions and trade speculation. I cant remember who did what but the 2 bloggers seemed to work well. Its nice having 2 blogs when one forum gets a little stale

I think he was on his way out when I started coming here. I remember his blogs at the top of the page but he was just trolling at that point

I consider Brown to only be behind Nylander, Marner and Matthews

Well in that case you'll probably get a young top dman without having to give anything of value in return!

Sweet!

So the Penguins have both of the Leafs 1st round picks from 2011. I wonder if either will be an NHLer for an extended period of time.

I agree that he has reached or surpassed expectations at the OHL and AHL levels. If he can do that in the big show the Leafs will be in great shape for years

He has only had a 7 game cup of coffee at the NHL level.

Got 6 points. Seems to be off to a good start

It all depends on which GM you're dealing with..

Personally I'd be calling Chiarelli every other day...
