why would leafs expose bozak?
might as well extend polak or hunwick for another year after January 1st and expose both of them.
is the 25% salary exposure rule still in?
my guess is leafs expose lupul and hunwick/polak.
Only players Leafs need to protect for sure at this time are:
- Kadri
- JVR
- Bozak
- Komarov
- Martin
- Rielly
- Gardiner
- Andersen
rest (Brown, Carrick etc.) depending on whether there will be any additions through trades.
maybe gardiner or bozak gets traded for another protected player; Leafs have quite a bit of flexibility and will surely make use of this.
Instead of Trouba, maybe Wpg are willing to trade away Myers?
That Enstrom contract surely looks bad for them. - MaximusAurelius
the leafs have kadri and matthews as their top 2 Cs... at least by seasons end they will be
time to move on from bozak... he isnt part of the future.

since when can you file a grievance for being benched? - DoubleDown
for the entire season when perfectly healthy?
yeah.. that effectively ends their careers... theyd file a grievance
they wont go that heavy with the kids... lou himself said he would prefer to have the kids brought up later than sooner... and babcock likes having older guys around to insulate the kids.
its not going as kid heavy of a roster as everyone thinks |

I really dont understand why people think Trouba is going to move.
If he were ever to be available.....he would cost a boatload to get him. |

I dont see Rychel as ever being a first liner on a winning team.
Maybe 2nd. - Fakepartofme
Way too early to say that for sure, big left wingers have had success on top lines before. Wait and see.

rychel is what the leafs needed though, honestly, tough, has some offense, will toss gloves or lay a solid hit...isn't afraid to go into the corners and dig out a puck - gotta have one of those on your line to get the puck to the big dogs. |

I agree - mine is blind hope of them playing a young roster - I wanna know where some of these guys are at the NHL level. |

totally agree, Matthews, Nylander and Connor Carrick are the only guys I predict are on the opening night roster. Marner is still up in the air. Then there is a battle between Brown, Shosh and Kerby, but likely not until moves are made or injury hits. |

I see him as a 2nd line winger as well. However I think he'll be better than some people think. Good ol Canadian with size for cherry |

thats the thing... they have greening and michalek to fill those roles early on... those two and laich will be given minutes with the hopes of flipping their expiring contracts at the deadline for mid to late round picks and long shot prospects |

Outside of recent signings.....are there any Dman with a bad cap hit that have 1 or 2 years left on their contract?
If so, I could see the leafs trading some pieces/contracts for something like that. |

2nd line LW is surely possible if he's playing well.
If not 3rd line LW seems the most likely spot - and where I think he starts.
I was thrilled with that signing! |

post deadline you will... they will do what they can to move the expiring contracts of some of the vets and bring up who they felt earned it with the marlies
thats my guess anyways |

I agree he might be moved.
my main point was that Bozak has higher trade value than some others that can be exposed.
better move him instead of exposing him.

i think marner makes it but will be insulated with older players at first.
i think it will depend on who successful his offseason training goes... and my guess is he is ready himself to move on from the OHL so he will be motivated |
