So are you saying Larrson is top 10? top 20? top 30? I always thought & was frequently told by many many Oil fans that Hall was the top 3 if not top LW in the NHL.

Hall was the one player on the Oilers that I liked, gave his heart and soul every night. I actually feel bad for oilers, taylor hall is a class act and a great player

As usual Calgary does just enough to be competitive. I am hoping Lucic Larson are enough for the Oil to suceed against the Pacific but as usual FA seems to be geared towards making the west tougher and east ever weaker.

For Calgary to be a cup contender I think Bennett is going to have to develope far more than I have personally seen. The young guns need to improve thier two way play, especially Monahan. And maybe Calgary will have to trade away one of thier big D guys to improve the forward group.

In short Calgary need thier young forwards to develop and Edmonton needs thier young defense to do the same. Combine the two teams and its a cup winner for sure.

This is a good post. Id much prefer they sign Huds to a cheap contract abd keep Janko in the A at his natural position. Neither Alberta team has cup aspirations this year, but in 2 yrs the kids progression should reap rewards.

The Oilers forwards are streets ahead of the Flames, it's your defence that makes you guys better ( I thought everyone knew this?).
