Does it say that the ones that don't have to be protected can't be offered? |

Hat doesn't address protection.... Only talks about the requirements of the cap.
Horton doesn't have to be protected100% - burn
i tend to agree... its just the phrasing that gets me.
i think it might be phrased that way to keep teams from deliberately shutting down guys for the last 60 games of the season and issuing statements that sound doubtful of the players future to keep them from having to protect them.
either way... someone like horton probably wont need to be on the protected list |

They should be able to expose anyone without a NTC. |

Teams must protect players that have no-movement clauses active in the 2017-18 season. No-movement clauses active in 2016-17 will have no impact. There will likely be exceptions made for players with no-movement clauses who are out with career-ending injuries (i.e. Ryane Clowe and Nathan Horton). Teams are not expected to be forced to protect those contracts. |

Add Holland in there.
Only one player is going to get picked from each franchise and none of our untouchables will be, so I'm not really worried about it. |

That's been covered. Lums clarified the continuing part had been clarified. Horton still can't be used to get you to 25% exposed though. And if Lupul is out all year like some seem to think he won't be either. |

the way i interpret it is that so long as he doesnt miss the last 60 games of the season and the injury is not defined as long term he can be exposed |

Sure they don't want teams doing that if course. But they have already said guys that haven't played in years ( Horton, clowe, ect) don't have to be protected even though they have mnc.

Just read an article on Matt Martin's buyout proof contract.
TO getting crucified over nothing here. Meanwhile, FLA is all of a sudden the Blackhawks and can do no wrong. |
