Whether it was Polak or Schenn, the important thing was it was only a 1 year contract. Either one is just a stop gap till we find or develop something better.

It was either get a dman via trade or FA .. and we picked FA. No way we add another dman unless a dman is going the other way.. I don't know about you, but Rielly is going nowhere...so unless Gardiner goes the other way for a Dman, I believe we're done adding.

Ideally, they pick up a Shatenkirk/Barrie/Dumba/Trouba etc, at which point that whole right side gets bumped down one slot each, but for now, that's what we've got.

Babcock has some work to do in the meantime.
