I think Vesey signing here is 50/50. After his meeting this week there will be about a 48 hour period where he either signs or he hits 8/15. So basically if he isn't a sabre next Sunday then it likely means he will sign with whoever his #1 choice is on 8/15. But I am still sort of optimistic that TM can get him to sign.

Ennis is overrated, and might never be the same. Girgensons is a 3rd liner. If that could get you Nash, the sabres would jump all over that.

I wouldn't say he's overrated
He's a multiple 20goal scorer, and he has speed (which we need!)
I'm not saying he's great or anything,
But he could be our "Hagelin" on the 3rd line for us
A 3rd line of something like Kane-Girgs-Ennis looks pretty good, and then makes our 4th line of Foligno-Larsson-Gionta look really good
Those 2 lines could create matchup problems for most teams

Nope - he hasn't met the Sabres brass yet as gmtm had the draft then free agency. He will sign here later this week

I haven't heard he injured himself in the offseason thank god, so hopefully he's working. I think he wants to play and really does have some talent for the position. He'll play over 50 games this year and have a save percentage north of .920. His play as he gets back into the groove after the Allstar break will be the cornerstone of our push to make the playoffs. (Side bet that he does actually get someone to fight him this year)
