Don't even process that article. That guy is a total Bruins homer. On his Twitter he has been saying for over a month that Vesey only wants Boston and he will sign there. This article is also from before yesterday when his agent said he looks forward to meeting with Buffalo and is open to anything.

Are you holding out any realistic hope??? I've got him in Boston, or Toronto. At this point I'm all about reeling in "The Hoff".

TRADE: Sabres acquire goaltender Anders Nilsson from @StLouisBlues for a 5th round draft pick in 2017.

It's pronounced "On-Ders". He has a hard ON.

Murray and his you must be this tall to start in goalie rule really pisses me off... Enroth is a solid reliable back up goalie who can step in when Lehnher inevitably gets hurt again... For a team that's trying to make the playoffs this year we're really putting all our eggs in a basket with holes in it....
- bluengold12

I believe GMTM said something to the effect of, "maybe we sign an AHL guy and call up Ullmark starts up in the NHL" that is not a quote despite being in quotes. Either way, would've rather seen Enroth back too, well said.

I remember what he said. Nilsson is being brought in to be the back up. Looking at his numbers and where he played. I can see Murray keeping Ullmark in Rochester so he can start and then occasionally calling him up to play but I don't see any good having Ullmark be the back up here. It's more of a loss than it is a win for him.
There were better trade options out there that Murray could've acquired for cheap. Connor Hellebuyck, Condon etc. all would have better

Yea I still think he signs here more likely than anywhere else.

what has Toronto or Boston done in this UFA period to show they can attract top free agents or gotten closer to a championship??

Buffalo has.

Hellebuyck is the full time starter and future of the Jets goal and Condon played very good in sperts for the injured Price.

You can't just look at a roster and say yea I want him. It has to be a team that has excess and can deal.

It's a 5th rounder. And Ullmark and Kasdorf would probably share starts even in place of an injured Lehner any way. It is what it is.

There is no way Winnipeg is trading Hellebuyck. Mike Condon's save percentage was almost identical to Anders'.

Nilsson isn't my choice but we only invested in a 5th round pick for him. If anything it creates a training camp competition between him and Ullmark. Frankly I think Ullmark has a better upside.

I just looked at Nilsson's KHL numbers. They are fantastic. 1.71 and a .934. 2nd in SV% 3rd in GAA. Also the KHL has a better website than the NHL pathetic...

https://en.khl.ru/stat/leaders/266/

Edit: 5th in SO as well with 5 in 38 GP. 6 more in the playoffs 11 total in 58 games.

That was a very good season for him no question but it was only one. His NHL numbers are less impressive. Who knows he might be fine here. I hope Lehner stays healthy.

I agree, but it's just reassuring to see a guy run to another league and dominate as opposed to run to another league and be only fair to middling. And his numbers did improve last year in very light action in STL. Edmonton picked 4th for a reason. He really wasn't it.

Yeah, only a one year deal from EDM.

Edit: That's odd. He was qualified by STL, but we signed him to the same contract he had last year. I thought all QOs had a 110% bump? Maybe it was nullified by the trade?

They have two goales above Hellebuyck if they don't trade him he'll go in expansion anyway. Condon is the 3rd strong goal as well. Hence why they'd be good targets...
