It's because we lost Sislo and O'Brien. Nothing of importance |

If that's the worst thing that happens this offseason, I'm ok with it. |

Two guys I think would be good to sign for our D is maybe Medvedev, had an up and down year for PHI, and Nakladal, Todd mentioned him in one of the CAL blogs. . |

I could definitely see that as a possibility. |

Anything today can be forgiven knowing that there's no more Warsofsky and probably no more Gionta. |

reading what other teams fans are saying about the hall larsson trade is pure entertainment
buffalo could have got hall for franson and a 3rd, or bogosian
the wild could have traded any of their d prospects who are just as good or better than larsson
flyers streit
and all saying larsson isnt even that good, guess they didnt see him play, oh but look at the stats and advanced stats hell petry was better than larsson |

The majority of fans know nothing about Larsson. We got the better of that trade, but I think Oilers fans will be quite pleased with Larsson. |

I have come to the realization that at least 60% of people in general are drooling idiots so I don't get surprised by much anymore.

encouraging quote from a Stars fan:
I love Fidds. Nj you're going to love him. He's all heart, plays good defense and still has some left in the tank.

Posted this in the blog in defense of Larsson...
On this site, report: on ice goal stats, select position: defensemen, minutes played: 200.
Sort GA60... click on the stat.
This is where you see Larsson glow and likely why Chiarelli loves him. Only he and Greene in top 10 were actually first pairing d-men. (Props to Stralman, too, for TB... clearly vital for their team). |

All good points in defense of Larsson's game. As much as I get why the Devils did this, we have holes on defense. The NHL is different now than it used to be, but you still need more defense than NJ has.
I wonder what's next. I hope I am wrong, but I think we have one more rebuilding season in store before we start to move forward. |

Something lost there is Larsson is 2nd in the league in GA60 to Stralman when you talk about players with over 1,000 minutes played by 0.06 per 60 and Stralman played 300 minutes less than Larsson. |

Let's find a way to bring back Ilya Kovalchuk now. Not sure sure if all the GMs would sign off on that or if he would have to clear waviers but I'm all for it even at that cap hit. I'm sure lots of you hate that idea. |

My problem with it is he will be 34 next season, has a history of back issues and I doubt he would come back on the cheap. I think the bring back Kovy ship has sailed, if he came back he wouldn't be the same player we remember. |

My understanding of the Russian rubble or what ever the hell it is, is that he is playing for around 4 to 5 million in us dollars right now due to there current economy and he is not to happy that and that's why we were hearing rumors of him wanting to come back. I think he would be fine production wise IMHO. I'm not saying it's going to happen but I would be all for it if it did. |
