So if we take Clowe and Savards contracts off the books, as of right now, we would have almost 27$ million in cap room.. Palmieri should get us to 22. After that, I guess Elias for a couple.. We have a ton of room. Whose a potential FA next season?
- FloridianDevil

YEah, but their cap doesn't come off though unless we spend to the cap limit.

Young players are part of the long term solution.

Old players are meant to fill holes in the lineup right now.

If you are talking Defensemen, Shattenkirk, Burns, Kulikov and Del Zotto are the big names.

In general I meant but that's obviously our biggest need. Thinking Ray has another trade in mind. Obviously we aren't a contender this year so maybe he will sit pat and let it ride out. Let Pat mentor Zacha, get the kids growing pains out now when it's okay to have the mistakes then completely retool next off season.

They will because if they don't they count as roster spots.

I think we overpaid some for DSP and Merrill.

The price for Fowler is going to be high. I bet Ray signs a safe, cheap defenseman. Even if he brings back Palmieri, Josefson, Boucher, Elias, Kalinin and Scarlett that still just puts us at 41 out of 50 contracts. I figure he brings in a vet.
- Mr.Bobby

he already signed a safe, cheap dman in Lovejoy. except Lovejoy kind of sucks. mediocrity to the high heavens.

Schlemko was good, Lovejoy was bad.
- Pomegrant

In my head I meant any way to compare them using a Hero chart or something similar.

But good / bad works fine. Thanks.

on their charts Lovejoy clocks in at slightly better than a 3rd pairing guy getting top minutes, and Schlemko was very soundly as a 2nd pairing quality defenseman.

It's a bad deal.

I see a lot of micro moves from here. I am glad we didn't pay anyone any long term high dollars like Okposo, etc. I see Backes is listed at 5 years / 6 million. Boston will have fun with that in the tail end I bet. I am glad Shero didn't bite on those type UFA's.

I still cant get over HALL man I will ride this high for sometime. I even convinced my wife season tickets are just silly not to have as we are about 45 min away. Just trying to decide on the full Monty or that flex deal. Has anyone sat just above the suites in ROW 1 of sections 128/129 or 111/112? they look like a killer view and not too expensive really. I would love the club seats but that's some coin. Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

Meh no long term deal or anything, plenty of cap space let the kids get a taste for steak.

Do the flex deal. I had seasons for a long time, changed to the flex two years ago.

Devils tix are impossible to unload for games you arent going to make. Trust me I burned a lot of them.

Now its time to take hudler, a proven Rw or take pirri and try to bring out his 20 goal potential. Or parentaeu. Then go get a D-man unless devils are confident in helgeson santini mozik

1st row Mezzanine are great. 2nd row works better for small kids so they can see over the glass to stop you from plummeting you your death. I've sat almost everywhere. Worth a plan for those. Other then that just stubhub it or go secondary markets.

Helgeson seemed ok last year when he was called up. I don't think he is the solution but maybe a stop gap for the time being. Besides last thing you were female doging about is Ray not making and moves then he traded for Hall so you lost all female doging credibilty for at least two weeks

Give it time. There are still defensemen out there. Until we sign Pete Harrold I'm not panicking.
