Frans at 5.2 per, great pickup by Detroit best value in the fA signings so far.
Big mistake not signing him. - nyisles7
Isles tried 7. I like the moves so far. Still find this funny from Staples Twitter and Frans. Especially the new coaches.

Love these.. "too long" comments. So he plays for 5 years and u buy him out for last 2. who cares? We have a sht ton of cap room. - niteislander
Really? Not so sure about that, after signing RFA's etc. Dont forget you have to sign Tavares in a couple years. |

grabovski and kulemin pays for JT's new contract. thats 9 mil coming off cap at same time JT's 5.5 per ends. 14.5 mil to sign jt if needed.

I like Ladd, I think he will play well with JT, but I don't like the length but I think if we wanted him thats what we had to do.
Chimerra is a good pick up but he's 37 and at 2.5? I want to see what MM signs for because all the bS numbers we heard about Frans and KO weren't out there.
If MM signs for 2.5 Why would you not give MM that instead of Chimerra?
Big void with Frans departing. Snow needs to addresss that still. |

rfas might cost us 4 mil, maybe 5. we have 10 free in space right now. can add one more or trade lower cap hit for higher cap hit (prospects/nelson for better player higher cap hit)
just as an example

I'd give chimera the 2.25 over martin at 1.8. Martin isn't scoring 15-20 goals and can't kill penalties and isn't a fit to move up in the lineup. chimera is |

Chimera even tho older is a much better player than Martin, faster & productive, leading the league in "hits" means NOTHING |

I'm going to like watching Chimera for two years and especially his skating over Martin. He is the better player than Martin. No question much older. I like what Ladd and Chimera bring to the locker room. Isles are not a finished product though. |

as PBP? i dunno, seems like he'd be a better commentator but then they'd have to fire or reassign butchie. the true isles thing to do would be to promote butchie to PBP which would be hilarious |

Listen I want players I don't want to hear cap BLAH BLAH BLAH .
I just said we don't have TONS of cap space. We aren't the same team we were trying to get to the floor. We spend and I'm happy but you can't piss it away. Still have to be aware. |

Heres what some don’t get: Players spend 6-7-8 years with same team but the team does nothing. Can’t keep bringing same players back. #Isles

I don't disagree, but these two signing add a lot of what we've been complaining we're missing for a while now. I would rather see them spending money to address where the team has been weak. |
