This is random but Duchene seems out of reach but maybe we get Killorn he's good can finish has played with Stamkos so he has top line experience - Upstate_isles
Duchene would be awesome for the top line.
I don't think Killorn is a top line guy really. 15 goals a year avg. maybe more like a 3rd line guy? Good defensively too.

Yup, even Nielsen was embarrassed by his poor D on that play and said so after the game. He was still our best defensive center. - JohnScammo
He was and I agree. Still pointing out that these 2 guys never stepped it up when it was needed most. |

Yea but he can snipe and jt can make him better. I agree he's not a true first liner but he has played there. That said would be nice to have a guy that doesn't need to be carried at all. Cough hall cough |

Watch the goal again. It's embarrassing. Off the wall, no contact made, walked right in. GWG in game 7. I like Nielsen a lot, but that goal was scored way too easily. - potvin05
You remember his goal in game 7 ?
Listen Frans said it himself bad play. Hands down the best 2 way center on the Islanders by far. It not like some untalented guy undressed him he was the Capitals high scorer last year. Guys big, skilled and skates like the wind.
Frans is gone I think he will be missed unlike most on here but it's time to move on from Frans KO and MM because they aren't here anymore for what ever reasons.

His goal in game 7 was pure luck. One of the softest goals I've ever seen.
I don't question how good he is. I question where he goes when it matter most. It's a pertinent question as far as I'm concerned. |

Goal is a goal really.
Yes it is.
Again our hockey buzz whipping boys KO, Frans and Stait are gone. The team should win the cup next year just by the poop they got rid of. |

I liked Franz more than okposo, less constant frustration. I wouldn't have minded retaining him and also can't fault him for choosing to go elsewhere. His decision and I'm sure they'll like him in Detroit. |

I keep thinking Bailey is going to be dealt for Hartnell. Saves jackets cap hit and shorter term. Hartnell isn't a top line winger but added to Ladd and chimera... We'd be a b1tch to play against.
I'd like to see snow aim higher but I wouldn't be surprised to see this. |

I think Franz will fit nicely with DET bc of the type of players they have, just don't know how productive he'll be after 2yrs into deal..... |

He pushed a puck toward Holtby and he let it in, do you not remember? It was a lucky goal, call a spade a spade, it's ok.
It literally cracks me up to think we're not gonna win a Cup because these two are gone. I've been one of Nielsen's biggest fans too. He took less money to play somewhere else, how has this been lost in translation? |

I believe it was a wrist shot kinda deflected by a Capital that Holtby should have stopped.
If we are gonna win a cup it will have to be without them |

So bc Strome has a sophomore slump like some kids do means that he has no chance to be relevant?? - Ur Not Me
It means he needs to earn top six minutes and not just be handed them based on draft slot. BTW, to call what Strome had last season a "sophomore slump" is being generous. He fell off the map completely |

I think Stromer will rebound next year Jethro.
I think after the 50 point rookie year, took it for granted and he didn't work hard over the summer and wasn't in the shape he needed to be in and fell behind and never caught up.
I think he's working his ass off this summer and comes into camp ready to go.
Just my gut feeling. - nyisles7
I hope you're right. there going to need him to be a 50-pt player this coming season |

I seem to recall Frans partially whiffed on the shot, so it came in on Holtby like a change up pitch in baseball........Holtby was expecting a fast ball and misjudged the speed of the shot. But I give Frans full credit for the goal. It's never a bad play to put a shot on goal, right Bailey????

He may bleed orange and blue, but then told his teammates that his personal family problems took precedence over bleeding orange and blue. I'm not blaming the guy one bit. I just think you want a guy in a more stable situation like Boychuk as your leader. Plus Boychuk has a Cup and can relate his experience playing for someone other than Flintstone. |

Found the goal on this video. About 50 second mark.
