Or RNH. Chiarelli is giving that team away for garbage. Can probably flip Bailey and Mayfield for RNH right now! - Jethro09
I'd prefer Eberle over Nugent-Hopkins. RNH hasn't played one healthy season since he came into the league I think. |

Why would they let him work the draft and free agency to fire him in the summer? |

If the Isles could ever get rid of Bailey and Kulemin, I can live with Quine and Prince on a 4th line. |

what's funny is that we still have people upset today after spending the last two years asking for more grit up front other than the top line.
summer's not over, yet still angry. plenty of time for another addition to top six via trade.
team won one round on the back of JT and Greiss, and yet okposo leaving is still upsetting some. Time for change. If we signed okposo and nielsen we're left with the same team. |

I agree 6. I do not see the sense in bringing the same team back. I'm not ready for this to be the team to start the season, but I think it's a good start and I'm going to give it more time.

I don't have a problem with any of the moves today. Obviously the term for Ladd is a little long, but that's the nature of going after the big UFAs. The reality is, they weren't going to add 3 forwards in UFA without totally screwing their cap up. They need to add a top 6 forward probably via trade, but today was a good start imo. |

Isles still have young talent and prospects they can move to improve the team. Singing two top FA's was not going to happen. |

Love the Ladd signing, but term is a bit long but that's what we had to do to get him.
Chimera is an upgrade over Martin . I think if Frans was still in the picture The Isles would be looking real good. That said plenty of time to make a trade for another top 6 forward preferably a good 2 way center. |

I wouldn't have minded franz back. I do agree we need one more top six forward. This is the best ufa start we've had in what....10 years? 20? I'm comfortable with what happened provided we do add one more top six to the roster |

Agreed.
Just concerns me that we offered Frans more years and $$$ and he left. |

Looking at these signings of Ladd and Chimera i am happy. These are the types of guys contenders sign every summer. I absolutely realize we need another impact forward for JT, but i like the grit and leadership we have brought in.
I was ecstatic to see us rid of Strait, but my poor Jets have him now. Nooooooooo i can't shake this guy lol |

Besides salary, the 4th line may still be JC/CC/CC just maybe get a bit more ice time than past.....
With Grabo/Strome/Nelson on team 2 will be a C and make-up the loss of Franz unless another C is brought in. Quine will be the new emergency call-up C |

Both Ladd and Chimera are 6-3 and >200lb. That will help playing against Panthers and Caps. Also Chimera has 69 PO games and Ladd with 65 PO games. Although Ladd's PO production is actually lower than Chimera's which is alarming. |

Agree, that said we are 1 trade away for a top 6 winger for JT from having a nice little start to the off season. These guys are the kind of guys that will make teammates accountable. unlike KO. |
