Didn't mean to suggest that he wasn't a good player. He's good on the PK, and as 7 said, he plays a good 2-way game. He also played on our first pp unit which I thought was a mistake. He skates well, has a good shot, but doesn't use it enough. Not at all physical, so he should last the duration of his contract.

So goodbye to three solid Islanders but remember this is hockey and we move on. KO may get more of a leadership role in BUF, Frans goes to a team which is traditional for Europeans and MM will do great in the Canadian media capital.

Ladd and Chimera bring similar qualities and pts as KO and Frans but a ton of playoff and leadership experience. The fourth line is broken up but Casey and Cal with Chimera may make it a second line. With Frans gone at center means Strome or Nelson have no more excuses becoming true NHL centers.

The kids get a year to grow on the farm and Pulock, Pelech grow into their roles.

chimera replaces martin, that in itself is a big upgrade. Kills penalties, scored 20 goals playing with wilson and beagle, speed and is nasty. How anyone is upset over this is beyond me.

I knew he was as good as gone, but I'm particularly sad Martin is gone. Glad he got paid and glad he's not with the Rangers.

I like Ladd, but that could come back to haunt you in 3-4 years if he breaks down from the style of play much like Dustin brown has.

True. He's a solid all around versatile player.

I like chimera and I like Ladd but if Snow hangs up his GM shorts he should be fired within the next week bcs we lost more than we gained no matter how we feel about the players. Nielsen go (frank) yourself thankfully you're gone looking fwd to watching you and okposo disappear in the playoffs with another team. Actually sorry okposo you won't be making the playoffs you're a sabre now

he's an ideal 3rd line center but is certainly a capable second line center. He's a quality person, solid pker, great in shootouts, defensively responsible with the capability to put up 40-50 points. You got a good one.
