Disagree. He's balanced the roster and changed the dynamic of the team to one much more suited to the Western Conference. I won't go into detail again as I've clearly laid out my stance a number of times this past week or so, but at the end of the day, this team needed to win and to do so we needed Dmen. If you can tell me what Chiarelli should've done to acquire a young top-4 Dman with the potential Larsson has, I'd love to hear it. Give me an alternative that you think would produce better results.

The fact of the matter is Shero said what I believe every other GM in the league was thinking whenever dealing with Chiarelli and that is, "(I)f it wasn't Hall, it wasn't going to happen".

Agreed. Every other GM in the league knew what we need(ed), knew what our depth is/was, and were going to charge us extra to get that piece we wanted. Yes we overpaid for a should be sure thing. There is risk involved because if Larsson does not live up to his pedigree/potential then we got severely burned. If he lives up its a slight overpay but not by much. It was a glaring hole that needed to be filled. We have to hope it is filled. If so we are a better team for it. If not it has set us back.

Well, looks like one has been stretched to its maximum extent...

Larsson is a really bad skater. After watching games of new jersey for the past 3 days, he reminds me of Reinhart, you can see he processes the game at a very high level he just doesn't get places in time. I watch him stand around an just control the front of the net while Andy Greene does all the work down low against speed. its pains me to to think this guy might be a a better version of Fayne. I love lucic signing but Pete is going to get fired by next summer for this trade.
