P.C. has a history of questionable value on trades (Seguin??) but he is aggressive and gets results. Maybe the shock in the dressing room was one of the benefits he intended.
Just watched Lucic's interview on Sportsnet at the new rink with Gene Princepe and I have to admit I gained some respect, a really genuine and humble interview. His belief in Chiarelli probably has merit.
Lucic - McDavid - Pujujarvi could realistically contend for the best line in the NHL. Edmonton is definitely an interesting watch going forward you guys are alright. - Blazed
I prefer to look at Lucic on a line with Draisaitl and Nuge. |

I'm surprised there isn't more chatter on Trouba period, Toronto and I'm sure quite a few teams as well could definitely use him. - Blazed
A lot of teams could afford an offer sheet too. I would love for us to make one |

Nuge is going to be awesome! He is nowhere near as good as he will be in 5 years and he's already pretty damn good. - Xaos22
Oh I don't disagree. I love Nuge's game, he is very slick. But Drait and McD are better talents at this point, and it is a lot of money for 3C. Spurgeon has a great contract/cap savings and instantly completes your team. Not saying it would necessarily be.1 for 1. Though I do feel it is an interesting propositiom. Edmonton has no pressure to do this now. They could always wait a year and see how Larsson balances out first. Obv a spine of Mcd Drait and Nuge is one of the most promising in the league. |

I'm sure you would have a better idea than me, just seems like at the core of the signing is the intention to play with McDavid. |

If we close the Barrie deal, go ahead and take your 2nd offer.

Also I feel pretty confident Lucic will beat the poop out of someone first period of his first Oilers home game. |

Maroon RNH Kassian/???

I think that's been assumed, but maroon was very successful with Connor last year.
And that frees up the superior lucic to play on a different line.
Connor carries maroon and yaks
Lucic and eberle flank draisaitl
Nuge and poo insulate puljujarvi |

I'd rather keep Nuge, trade Eberle, and move Draisaitl to RW |

No. The hope is for a Lucic-Draisaitl-Kassian line for the California roadies. |

You call it Larsson bashing but I call it an accurate description stripped of unnecessary hope and extrapolation. He is not Hedman. He is quite far behind Hedman who ought to be a Norris candidate every year from here until he's 35. I already DOUBLED his offense from 18 points to the 30 range with better forwards. Not sure what else you want here. - Matt_Henderson
Larsson also had 24 points in 64 games last year. And was still a plus player. Hedman had 20 in 44 games in his age 22 season. He didn't take the offensive step forward this year. But they projected similarly from their age 19-22 seasons. Yes Edmonton gave up the better player in the trade, and we all knew we would have to overpay to get a quality defenseman. But in the end we became a better team for it. Quit crying over spilt milk. |

Assuming we dontt make any changes. It's my ideal lineup
Connors gonna be good on any line. But the fact that he had success already with both is great (and I don't think maroon is as good with anyone else)
That first line looks great obviously.
As does the 3rd. And again, nuge and poo have worked in the past |
