There was a pretty good discussion on this and he never left any on the table. Former players were talking about it. There are a lot of additional write offs in the US over Canada. And even if he got an extra 4 mill in endorsements he would have broken about even.

TSN guys were saying Weber pushed for Radulov. Perhaps he is a Richard, i don't know, but either way, he is gone in a year if it doesn't work out.
