The only thing that impresses me with Garf is how many words he can actually spit out in a day...actually scratch that...he's an idiot

Chia really makin some bold moves especially movin Hall. MacT or Tamb would never have pulled the trigger on that one

I don't mind the cap hit because it should be easy to enough If need be. One less year would have been better 3y, 7.5m. Still overall despite the buzzkill I will enjoy having two of the top 5 current checkers up front in Komarov and Martin.

So now that the Stamkos dream is over is the plan Kadri-Matthews-Nylander up the middle? They all play their natural position and the order will be determined by their play.

Does Bozak stay another year to help insulate, maybe play as a winger but Babcock keeps a veteran capable all situations center in case of injuries or his rookies needing more time. It would be nice to move Bozak and Lupul if only to finally close the Burke chapter.

Is Trouba available and what cost? A big acquisition to play with Rielly would make up for missing out on Stamkos.

If he's available I'm sure the price would be considered lofty. Chevy tryin to keep salary reasonable and Trouba can wait it out for a bit

If Lou pulls of a deal with Colorado on Landeskog and Duchene, Leafs would be almost set going forward (apart from a top pairing d-man).

Would probably be Gardiner + Kadri + JVR + going the other way.
If Kadri swapped for Bozak, that would be gold, but then the + would be +++.

Still don't think Colorado will let go of Duchene and/or Landeskog though..

On D it seems a possibility Leafs sign Schenn to a deal below 2mln - he's a hard hitter as well and apparently Leafs wanted to add a bit of physicallity to team; I guess it wouldnt hurt to have him on 3rd line D.

Nylander is going to be a winger. Babcock has said it already.

Expect Kadri-Matthews-Bozak-Laich to be the centers this year

Hall trade set the market for young Dman.

We can't afford Trouba unfortunately.

Teams will wait for the price to go down. Any gm with a brain would.

He didn't set the market price.. PC set the standard GM..

Hall is an elite winger.. He should have fetched an elite defenseman.

Anyone know where we can find a guy whose only played a dozen or so NHL games since 2008? If found, we should pay him almost 6 million.

Larsson was never the first choice of Edmonton. Montreal had a trade in place Subban for 4th pick and a player probably one of Hall, Draisaitl or RNH. When Puljujarvi fell to 4th, Edmonton decided they would not make the trade. They definitely overpaid for Larsson.
